« The Bachelorette
ABC- get a clue! Bachlorette is such a disappointment!
Yuck. I just spent all week waiting for the show, then fast forwarded through the entire last rose acceptance. Please! Is it just me or did ABC edit this thing so that the audience was so sympathetic for Jason. I mean come on- the kid, the wife walked out, he was so sweet, he took care of DeAnna and she was giddy with him.
Compare that to the portrayal of Jesse, the real life version of a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle. They spent so much time showing us 'shredding' and him giving juvenile handshakes to everyone it was almost a joke.... but wait! The joke is on us! That is who she loved! Ummm...... huh?
I watched the first few seasons of this show, but frankly got fed up the editing of the whole thing. I walked away. I thought I'd give it another chance, DeAnna seemed like a great woman, but after watching I am so over her and ABC and it's pushing of a fan favorite only to dump him, that I will be done with this show from now on. There are actually decent reruns going right now on cable..... forget ABC.

Also- did DeAnna seem kind of witchy in the end and at all the "Tell All' and reunin shows? What is up with that?

Call me crazy, but I think this one might actually last and this is why....Deanna reminds me of someone. Her name is Trista! Both Trista and Deanna have a need for a lot of attention and the spotlight, and both chose men that will stand back and allow them to have that. With Jason, Deanna would never be number one because he was a father. Jesse clearly worshipped her, and she will be the center of his world, and the attention. I think both Trista and Deanna have very dominate personalities, and chose laid-back kind of guys.
I feel bad for Jason (I think I even feel worse for poor Jeremy), but Jason truly does deserve someone who would put his child first. I have no doubt that someone that sweet and handsome will find their soulmate, and Deanna was not it! I think she was a bit too self-centered to jump into a family, so I'm glad she didn't go down that road, and cause Jason or his son pain later.
Not that I have said all of this, I will say that I feel very pathetic for watching this crap, and I can't wait for the return for some decent shows!

I have to agree. I can't believe I wasted all my time watching this. The editing of the whole series was so biased. Get you hooked for one man then drop the bomb. I knew once Graham and Jeremy were sent home she would choose Jesse.
True, DeAnna and Trista are very much alike. Same story, just different players. I hope DeAnna is truly happy. I feel sorry for Jesse, though. I think he's going to be silly putty in DeAnna's hands.

Ohh- I never really compared DeAnna to Trista (who Ihave to say I kind of liked),but I see what you are saying. The more the show went on the less I liked DeAnna- that is never a good sign!
Maybe you guys are right..... I actually didn't even watch her pick Jesse- it was just so stupid, the way they played up Jason- but maybe you are right- he really can do so much better than DeAnna- let's just pray he doesn't do it on the train wreck that is "The Bachelor"!

After this season, I am through with this show. The editing was done so that Jeremy and Jason were the 2 last standing. Where in the world did Jesse come from? And then she ends up with him. I am so over this show. Hope her family can support her when this little boy is through playing house.

Ha! Until they are done "playing house"! That is funny, I like it!
How about until the break a bone "shredding it up" on the slopes. Since when is "he is fearless on a 4-wheeler" criteria for love?

Did you expect anything different? It's a Reality Show. ABC doesn't care if you watch or not. They are getting rid of all of the good shows for these cheap made reality shows. Good programming is gone.....

If that is true, that makes me very sad. I wasn't expecting award winning programming here, just an entertaining summer show. But when you can't even follow the story, and the outcome of the show has no relevance to to the entire season, that isn't even entertaining... it is just frustrating! I guess I hoped if enough people voiced their opinion that it would actually encorage producers to edit the show differenlty. HOWEVER, I won't be watching to find out. Oh well!
Thank goodness for cable- there are plenty of entertaining re-runs that are better than most network original programming.

I think this bachlor/bachlorette business on television is insane if not completely superficial. The mere notion that people go on television "to find" their marriage partner seems to cleverly disguise the opportunity to be seen on national TV as the ulterior and ONLY motive - especially when they're so...gosh darn cute! The other ridiculous notion is that anyone who can decide in a period of a few weeks who they choose their marriage partner for life to be is...um.. to put it nicely, of not much depth. Then this DeAnna person 'decides' that she knew this snowboard dude was her 'soulmate' - whatever that is - from early on. Well if so, then, DeAnna dear, why then go through the many men you did?? in order to make your decision. I'm sorry, this whole thing is just lame and I don't put much stock into a real marriage coming out of some TV partner-matching game show. Ridiculous. I watched the last two shows - two hours of my life I'll never get back. I'll stick to PBS from here on out --

Just saw that Trista and Ryan are going to christen a new boat for Princess Cruises to celebrate their fifth year anniversary - cannot believe they have already been married for five years!
