She is a great example to those people who live with autism everyday! I'm a special ed teacher and deal with autistic teens on a daily basis. I wish my kids were as high functioning as Heather! If they crack a joke or can stay with me in simple conversation for more than a few seconds, I'm happier than hell!!!
I wish she would have won the whole thing, but I knew that when the social contact finally came into play that she wouldn't be around for long. I just wish that Bianca chick would have went first though! If she were a student in my school, she would have spent in-school suspension in my class to see how these kids struggle just to make eye contact. She doesn't realize how fortunate she is to not have this disability and it shows how strong Heather's soul is to live with it!
