Disappointed in Idol Gives Back

Last year I wept and wept watching IGB. I gave more money than I could affort. This year's was very disappointing - it seemed more like a Jerry Lewis Telethon that what I expected after last year. Don't get me wrong, I still wept, I still gave money, but the show was very so-so.

Too bad - but, I saved the show from last year, I have watched it several times;)

Ya…We’re not in a recession, so the disturbingly low amount of money raised is because of??? Well here’s a thought, why don’t the RICH celebrities dig deeper into their pockets. The lack of funds raised only again proves that it is the middle class that spend money to keep our economy from teetering over the deep end…yet the rich look down upon us…whatever!
I think it’s a huge slap in the face that we are not including Britains VERY generous gift of 200 million dollars worth of nets…well we are ignorant Americans now arent we?
Alas, Idol sucked last night…they clearly focused on superstar talent instead of the heart of the issue. Honestly, they needed to pull on the heartstrings a bit more just as they did last year. Last year I cried like a baby, felt guilty for my posessions, and ran to the phones to help. This year…I just found myself bored with little (if any) emotion!
About 20 million raised( not including Britains gift of nets) how pathetic is that?? Come on Exxon,Shell,Oprah,Hiltons, Martha and the rest….GIVE A LITTLE BIT for crying out loud!!!!

Well my friends and I shelled out good dough to go to the live show at the Kodak and we saw more video than actual live performances. That was a pretty expensive movie people - lemme tell ya! There were several guests we expected to actually see live NOT on video! Daughtry! Total dissappoint not to see live - especially being a past idol favorite of mine =( A good cause but it did end up feeling more like a telethon as others have noted. The best part (for me).. seeing & getting waved to by the awe-inspiring, wonderful David Cook! Can you guess who I've been voting for - wink wink :-x
