« 7th Heaven
New to 7th Heaven
I just discovered 7th Heaven this year and have been enjoying the reruns very much. There were two episodes each night on our Channel 49. Then suddenly, they changed it to only one and now, without notice, there are none. Can anyone tell me when and where I can continue to watch the reruns (as well as the new show). I have a lot to catch up on and I just love it. Please email me at sheltee3@aol if you have any info.

Actually I've been wondering the same thing only on another channel...I'm also wondering why it was changed from a Monday night to a Sunday night? Bad choice.
WHY ARE ALL THE GOOD SHOWS BEING TAKEN OFF TV?! Why are shows with good values & morals just pushed right out of the way anymore?
I'm so sorry that you just found this awesome show. I hope & pray that you get to see all of the reruns.
Our kids & I have watched this show since it started. I still love watching it. Nope....I don't get tired of the reruns!
I always learn something new each time I watch a show. I can sincerely say that I wish there were more shows like this.

I know ABC Family has shown episodes from time to time. Probably the best way to see some of the earlier seasons is to go to Blockbuster Online or Netflix - I think only three seasons of the show is out on DVD.
This truly is a great family show that is most likely in its last season. I'm sorry you didn't find it sooner!

I think it's an absolutely wonderful show. Sure wish there were more with the values this family has. Too bad there aren't more like it. Tired of shows which produce demoralizing, stupid plots and/or language, sexual innuendo. (I don't think I'd have to give examples. We know which ones they are.)There are very, very few shows like 7th Heaven anymore. I'm not saying that they haven't dealt with those current societal and yes, controversial issues. But they've dealt with them in such a way that makes you think about the rightness or wrongness of that particular issue or behavior. It may even make you think about your own attitude regarding it. For example, with Eric's possible "demise" from heart disease, I couldn't help but think and reflect on my own mother's heart problems from which she died. It made me think of even changing my way in regards to eating and exercising and yes, even contributing in some way, either financially or time-wise through volunteering with American Heart Association. I realize it's "just a show" but it's also been a show which has raised our awareness of issues in our society which maybe need to be addressed and that's not a bad thing. How many other shows do it as well as 7th Heaven has? By the way, is this really their last season and is Eric going to "die" I've missed it the past couple of weeks. And why did they change it to Sunday night? I watch Extreme Home Makeover and that's on at the same time as this one. So I end up trying to either tape one or switch back and forth between the channels and then you don't get the full effect. Also, does anyone know if they're bringing more seasons out on video or DVD???

Michael Ausiello did an interview with Stephen Collins right before the season began, and Stephen indicated it might not be the last season - but that would be up to the network. And we all know that the almighty buck tends to be what the network focuses on. The show was picked up for a full season rather than the 13 episodes originally scheduled, so that's a good sign. We'll probably know something more within a month or so.
I know three seasons are available on DVD, but that's it. Not sure why.

Hi Sheltee2...I was wondering if you ever found any other channels to watch 7th Heaven?
I haven't.
Have you been watching the new ones?
I'm glad that they at least came back with the series for another season. That was a nice surprise.
Tazjt had a good idea about finding the DVD'S.
Believe it or not I just went online to my library & found out that within their system...a whole bunch of different library's that lend to one another...they have the 1st and 2nd seasons of 7th Heaven!
I hope that you have as great a library system as I do! ( There were a bunch of books also! )
( BTW Tazjt...I'm also a Hopeless 'Gilmore Girl's Fan'! I checked our library for Gilmore Girls DVD's & they have seasons 1-5 of them! Pretty Kewl! Books on them too. )
Hope you find some good DVD's to watch Sheltee! Make Them Count! Hugz!

I have watched 7th Heaven from the very beginning, never missed a show, I have even watched the reruns over and over through the years but this new season I have to say I can not watch Lord knows I have tried, it was hard over the years watching Ruthie with her bad attitude, to bad she didn't stay in Ireland. But This new season with her and T-bone I just can't stomach! Get this over with please get him off the show or have them break up and just be friends. I am not the only that feels this way, Several of us watch the show and no one is happy with this situation. Was a true fan, Johne5

I know how you feel. I have been watching the show for the past 6 years and absolutely loved it.
And I believe that Hollywood has some sort of plan to get rid of all the GOOD shows off TV and leave nothing but trash to watch. So if that is what they are planning, I guess I won't be watching any programs on the major TV networks.
