Samantha Who?
by
Adam Schubak
Love and relationships seem to have become the central focus of Samantha Who since its return from hiatus. First we had the Sam/Todd/Chloe triangle. Then we had Todd, Sam, and the Funk. And then, last week we had Dena and Chapman. You would think this whole dating thing just adds more complication to Sam's already complicated life and yet she seems to be digging the hole deeper for herself as the weeks go on. This week was no different. It all started with Sam checking the mail. While sifting through the usual bills, Sam came across an invitation to Todd's gallery opening with a single word written in marker "Hey!" That one syllable word was enough to set Sam off on a quest to try and make sense of what she and Todd are doing. She decided to go over and tell him face to face that she would not be attending his opening. When she arrived at her apartment building, she sought the sagely advice of Frank the doorman while she waited for Todd to show up. As Sam tried to break it to Todd that she wouldn't be attending the shindig, Todd actually tried to retract the invitation at Chloe's request. Refusing to allow Chloe dictate where she can and can't go, Sam played it off that she actually was over Todd and that she'd be bringing a date to his show. A date by the name of Rance. Later on, Sam met up with the gals (and her boss) to talk about her most recent debacle. Although she had decided to attend the art show stag, Andrea convinced Sam to find a hot guy to pretend to be Rance in order to make Todd jealous. Where could they find such a guy? Apparently, the book store. Sam spent a good amount of time trying to find Mr. Right Now in the store with no success. As she tried out one last trick, she managed to get into a fight with another customer and actually got kicked out of the store. While walking away she came across a cute guy ( Jerry O'Connell) trying to break into a car with a wire hanger. Date found! That night at the gallery opening, Chloe was pissed to see Sam arrive despite the fact that she had a date on her arm. Meanwhile, as Regina and Howard Newly walked around the exhibit they came across a nude photograph that they discussed in-depth before realizing it was their daughter. Andrea arrived with the harshest art critic in Chicago to help Sam out a bit and she gave Sam's beau the stamp of approval (even though he was wearing a Swatch but said he looked oddly familiar.) We also learned that Andrea purposely gave Dena the wrong address to the exhibit. Dena found herself at some performance art show with just a bald man sitting in a glass case. When Sam's boy took her coat to bring to the coat check she had a flashback to a night she was mugged after leaving a bar with Andrea. Guess who the mugger was? Yep...her date to the art show. Sam found herself in yet another sticky situation. Andrea tried to explain that bad boys are hot and that Todd may actually get jealous but obviously Sam just wanted to end the date as quick and painless as possible. Just as Sam was about to leave after convincing her man that they were actually on a scavenger hunt, Todd and Chloe approached leaving her no choice but to keep up the facade. Following an awkward encounter with Todd and Chloe, Sam confronted her mugger. He told her that he had changed his ways and they decided to keep the date going. Over at the performance art show, Dena spilled her emotions to the man inside the case until he broke down and told her where the real gallery was. At the same time, Papa Newly was trying desperately to keep the other guests from seeing his daughters naked body. He want so far as to try and steal the picture from the gallery which set off the alarm system. This prompted Sam to confess that it was her date who was the thief which pretty much brought an end to that courtship. However, it also prompted Chloe to confront Todd about why he put a nude photograph of his ex in the show. In a fit of anger Chloe ripped open her blouse and asked "Are these babies not good enough for you?" proving that she's just as insane as Sam. Todd and Sam finally got a moment alone to talk about the evening. When Sam looked closer at the photo she realized the picture had been sold. Todd confessed he faked the sale because he didn't want anyone else to have it. With that, he pretty much admitted that he may still have feelings for Sam as well. The episode ended with Dena getting her revenge on Andrea by having Chapman move her office into the copy room. Score one for the under dog! This was another adorable episode. Though Jerry O'Connell's character wasn't quite as entertaining as the Funk, he turned in a good performance. I really loved that everyone had a decent amount of screen time this week. I also love the interactions between Harold and Regina Newly. There is definitely something missing when Harold ( Kevin Dunn) goes missing for an episode. And even though we're all waiting for the end of Chloe and Todd, I'm really enjoying Kiele Sanchez as the psycho girlfriend. She is really holding her own up against our girl Christina. So what'd you all think? Does Chloe fit in with the other nutjobs? Did we like Jerry O? Memorable Moments: -Mama Newly's creepy response to Sam asking "How long have you been there?" "I watch you sometimes" - Frank the doorman on why he can't attend Todd's opening: "He invited me too but sadly I teach comedy traffic school that night" -Sam rushing to catch Todd in the elevator and pushing the doors open like a crazed stalker -Andrea's advice to Sam after she decides to attend the opening alone: "Alone? Why don't you just go with a million cats?" -Dena and Chapman's public displays of affection -Sam cruising the book store. Mainly, the sci-fi section. -Sam getting kicked out of the book store: "Nobody reads anymore anyhow. This place will be a yogurt shop in 2 months!" -Mama Newly examining the crowd at the art show: "Look at all these city people...I bet someone in here is a bisexual." -Andrea reacting to Sam's news that her date is a mugger: "This is gonna be hard to hear but you're probably not having sex tonight" -Sam explaining Todd's odd behavior to her date: "Artists...you know, they all get syphilis or something...it makes em crazy!" -Andrea, after learning the correct address from the performance artist: "Thanks! I hope somebody buys you!" Quote of the week: -The Newly parents discussing the nude photograph before realizing its their daughter: "That's what artists do...they get the models drunk, they loosen the inhibitions, and they have sex with them. You saw Titanic!"

Hey people! It's been quite the Monday night for yours truly. Not only did I get to catch an advanced screening of the new Tina Fey/Amy Poehler flick Baby Mama, I also got to return home to brand spankin' new eps of Gossip Girl and Samantha Who waiting for me on my DVR. I love technology! If you have yet to get on board the GG bandwagon, I strongly advise you do so now cause with this one-two punch you get a nice dose of teen drama and amnesic slapstick. What more could you want out of a Monday evening? As Sam walked to work recounting her recent run-in with Todd to Dena, she ran into her boss in the lobby of her office building. After overhearing Dena compare dating to being a dog, he insisted to Sam that she set him up with her. Though completely against the idea at first, Andrea was quick to remind Sam of the advantages of having a friend dating their boss. Despite still being against the idea, Sam quickly found herself in a situation that would require her boss' help when she wanted to back out of a construction project that would destroy the natural habitat of a rare butterfly. Time for Sam to pimp out Dena to save the blue butterflies! Later that night, Sam and Dena just happened to run into Mr. Chapman (Sam and Andrea's boss) at the bar. The next day, the girl met up at the coffee shop where Dena dished on her evening with Chapman. The couple really seemed to hit it off which gave Sam and Andrea the perfect opportunity to express their frustrations with work in the hopes that Dena would relay them to Mr. Chapman. As the gal pals sipped their lattes, Dena spotted Todd lingering outside the coffee shop. After a quick breath-check Sam went out to see if Todd had anything to say about their little kiss. He didn't. He only mentioned that he got a job as a freelance photographer for the local paper. That night, Sam and her mom chatted about her recent relationship issues as Sam prepared to meet up with Dena and Andrea at a store called Clip Clip Hooray. While the girls clipped away, Sam explained the butterfly problem to Dena and Dena agreed to bring it up to Mr. Chapman. At the office, Andrea got her new chair and Sam was all smiles believing that her friend would convince her boss that the millions of dollars that would be lost on the mall project would be worth it to save a species of butterfly. However, Mr. Chapman was able to convince Dena that the mall project was actually a good idea. Sam continued to search for a way to save the butterflies and came across some old blueprints for the mall that wouldn't kill off her insect friends. Mr. Chapman was too obsessed with Dena to listen to Sam's proposal and so Sam decided to let old Sam come out to play a bit. She told both Mr. Chapman and Dena that they were smothering each other and they needed to back off a bit. When Mr. Chapman couldn't take it anymore he agreed to postpone the mall project so that Sam would talk some sense into Dena. She did but when Dena and Chapman went out again, they realized that Sam was playing them the whole time. Dena went off to confront Sam at her house. Dena was genuinely upset that Sam would manipulate her emotions like that. She took Andrea to a karaoke bar and told Sam that the bulldozers would be rolling in the morning. Later that night as Dena and Chapman were about to have a nightcap, they saw Sam protesting the mall project on the local news. She made a heartfelt apology to Dena but her attempt to save the butterflies was unsuccessful even after sleeping in front of a bulldozer. Although she wasn't able to control the construction job from breaking ground, she realized she could at least control her situation with Todd. After quitting her job, she made her way to the apartment and waited outside with Frank until Todd came out. She kissed him and told him it was his turn to lose some sleep. Another great episode! Following Timothy Olyphant’s stint last week, I was glad to get to know Rick Hoffman’s character, Mr. Chapman, a little better. I was also really happy to see Dena have a little bit of fun. And as always, I loved Jean Smart this week too. Her one-liners are so amazing but are sometimes hard to catch upon first viewing. The one thing I was also really happy about was that Sam didn’t succeed in stopping the construction job. It would have been a little unbelievable to have her boss sacrifice millions of dollars and Sam did say “There are some things you just can’t control.” So what do you all think of Rick Hoffman’s character? Do you like him paired up with Dena? And how much did we miss the Funk this week? Memorable Moments: -Sam's first line of the episode: "I was reading an article the other day, by which, I mean I was watching tv" -Dena being able to relate to Sam's issue with Todd: "I got yelled at by a guy once right after he kissed me and my braces got stuck in his chewing gum. He was a bad therapist." -"Parenting books, Golf, Ohio" "What are you doing?" "Just listing off other things I don't give a crap about" -Andrea's knowledge of butterflies: "Oh I don't think they have blood, they're like birds" -Andrea playing up her aching back upon learning that Dena is dating Mr. Chapman -Mr. Chapman's disappointment at being ignored by Dena: "She wouldn't even come to see my band...and I play cowbell during Sister Christian!" -Dena confronting Sam about her trick: "I'm beginning to think you didn't want to do Topiary!" Quote of the week: Regina Newly (Jean Smart) responding to Sam confessing that she kissed Todd: “Of course you did. He only makes like $800 a year!” And check out our Online Video Guide for more fun with Sam and the gang!

This week the Funk came to town and rocked Sam's world. And by the Funk I mean Sam's wealthier and more attractive other boss played by Die Hard villain, Timothy Olyphant. As the episode kicked off, Sam was still obsessing over Todd. She was practically begging him for another chance and he was having none of it. When she arrived at the office another face from her past entered her life and it seemed as though he was just what Sam needed to get her mind off of Todd. Meet Winston Funk. He's handsome. He's charming. And he's filthy freakin' rich. He also happens to be in love with Sam and proposes to her within minutes of seeing her again. If only Andrea wasn't so desperately in love with him. While old Samantha probably would have jumped at the chance to bag herself a billionaire, new Sam felt it appropriate to come clean to her boss/beau that her condition wiped all memories of him and that she couldn't accept his proposal. Later, she described the situation to Dena who found all of the details to be perfect material for the romance novel she was writing for her online writing class. A while later, Sam continued to stalk Todd and tracked him down at the coffee shop. She attempted to explain to him that she still has feelings for him but again, he didn't want to hear it. Feeling desperate, Sam sought the advice of her parents. She arrived home to find Winston waiting for her and of course, mama and papa Newly were smitten. And really...who wouldn't be? If the Funk couldn't make Sam remember him, he realized he'd have to create new memories to get her to fall for him again. After seemingly making it snow with the snap of his fingers, it appeared that he just might succeed. Leave it to the parents to go and ruin a perfectly romantic moment. The next day at another office meeting, Sam's attempt to keep her relationship with Winston went south when she giggled like a schoolgirl at one of the Funk's lame jokes. Andrea could smell Sam's BS from a mile away and called her out on it. Sam tried to play it off that she kept trying to get Funk interested in Andrea but just kept digging the hole deeper for herself by revealing that they not only had dinner together, but he also met her parents and proposed. I never thought I'd say this but POOR ANDREA! Sure, her feelings for the Funk were purely superficial but still...her newly reformed amnesiac best friend keeps getting all the good luck and the good guys. As Sam confided in Dena once again (and as Dena jotted down every detail for her romance novel,) the Funk tried once more to get Sam to go on a date with him. Although at first she refused to entertain the idea, it occurred to her that she was only depriving herself of a relationship with a guy who genuinely seems to care for her. She realized there would be plenty of other men for Andrea and Todd wasn't going to come around any time soon and so she accepted the invitation. Just when things seemed to be going well, Sam had another flashback and remembered a time when she blatantly screwed over Andrea. Time for new Sam to set things right. In a very My Name is Earl-esque twist, Sam's good karma paid off. Just as she set out to find her best friend, Todd found a tabloid showing Sam as the Funk's new mystery blonde and the boy got jealous. Sam caught up to Andrea at their favorite bakeshop and after admitting their past indiscretions, the two bffl's made peace once again. That night, just as Sam decided to take a break from love karma came knocking at her door (literally.) Although she had been receiving little tokens of affection from the Funk, she opened the door one last time to find Todd standing there with a copy of the tabloid in his hands. He grilled her about her relationship with the Funk and then passionately kissed her before storming out the door. So much for stringing us along. What a sweet episode! Last week I complained that the episode seemed a bit off but this week everything was back on track. There was a perfect balance of all the characters and even Papa Newly made an appearance. Dena was hilarious while writing her romance novel and I loved seeing the more vulnerable side of Andrea. The only thing that I was a bit disappointed with, which I've probably mentioned in every blog for this show, is that I'm not ready for Todd and Sam to get back together. I loved the Funk and would love to see him stick around for a few more episodes. Hopefully we have not seen the last of him. So what did y'all think? Did the fairy tale fall flat? Do we like Todd or the Funk? Memorable Moments: -Andrea getting all goofy over her crush: "It's not the money, I swear! I'd love him even if he were just a millionaire." -Sam explaining her condition to Funk and the things she can't remember: "I'm still a little fuzzy about what an REO Speedwagon is" -Sam's repeated messages to Todd: "You don't have to answer my calls because by now I remember your routine. I know when you get your coffee and how you feel guilty for eating those cinnamon rolls so you burn off the calories by running in the park like a girl!" -Mama Newly trying to convince Sam she should marry Winston: "He's been on magazine covers, he flies jets, and with the snap of his fingers he can have every inch of this house weatherstripped!" -Andrea telling Sam off: "I hate you...and I don't like your shoes today...and if you fell off the face of the earth, I wouldn't even care!" -Dena's fake British accent as she continued to write her romance novel. -Sam accepting the Funk's offer for a date: "Yes, you can buy me coffee. A cup not a franchise." -"Um, you said you didn't want to see me again. What am I supposed to sit around and not get married?" Quote of the week: Sam, upon entering the Funk's limosine "Are you so rich that you smell like cupcakes?" And if you missed and of this week's episode (or past episodes,) look for em in our online video guide! See ya next week!

Whuttup TV Guiders? It feels like forever since I've blogged anything that didn't involve the ridiculousness that is Tyra Banks. It's good to be back to a scripted show. When we last saw Sam, she got dumped by her first post-amnesia boyfriend. After getting dumped, Sam realized she still had feelings for Todd. I'm hoping the writers don't jump right into this because that's the type of stuff that can ruin a show this early on. Now for my recap: This week Sam continued to question her relationship with Todd. After some time apart, the two happened to run into each other on the street while Sam was trying out her jump-roping skills. Todd seemed glad to see her and suggested they get together soon. Later that evening while Sam's mom tried to convince her to have a makeover night with her, Todd invited Sam over for a chilli dinner. Ecstatic by the thought of possibly rekindling her relationship with Todd, Sam prettied herself up and went over to her old apartment. Once there, Todd's true intentions came out when he revealed that he wanted to invite his current girlfriend Chloe to move in with him. This sent Sam running to her relationship guru, Andrea, who advised that she slip on her old Sam shoes and resort back to her old schemes for getting unavailable men. Cue the flashback to "the wine trick" where Sam told some poor girl that her boyfriend just sent over a bottle of wine to her table. Delightfully evil! However, just make things nice and balanced the board president for Sam's building showed up at the coffee shop to let her know that subletting is forbidden in her building. Score one for the good girl! Sam was eager to break the news to Todd and Chloe that they'd be getting a new roommate. Just when Sam thought she had the upper-hand, she realized that living with her ex and his new girlfriend wouldn't be as fun as she'd expected. It was all private jokes about monopoly and stuffed koala bears which was enough to make Sam regret her decision. But the situation got even worse for her when Todd and Chloe decided to call it a night and Chloe dragged her boy toy to the bedroom. Poor Sam! Meanwhile, at the Newly household Sam's mom was so desperate for some bonding time that she adopted Dena as her second daughter just to have someone to do makeovers with. As Regina convinced Dena to do makeovers, Andrea convinced Sam to take her advice to get rid of Chloe. Her little plan entailed planting herpes cream, an ovulation chart, and an ovulation kit in the bathroom of the apartment. Back at the Newly house, Dena and Regina drunkenly revealed their deep dark secrets to one another while made up to look like 80's pop stars. At the height of their drunken state, they decided to TP the house of the woman who beat Regina in a beauty pageant during her younger years. As Sam tried to get some sleep at her apartment, she rolled over to find Chloe staring down at her with a warning that she better not try to steal Todd away. Wow...quite the psycho! I'm guessing the herpes cream won't be necessary. The next morning Sam woke up to a homemade breakfast prepared by Chloe. When Todd and Sam had a moment to speak in private, he confronted her for threatening Chloe. As Sam denied the allegations and tried to tell the truth, Chloe ran in showing her butchered stuffed koala which she also pinned on Sam. Let the games begin! When the sun rose over the Newly house, Dena and Regina awoke to the drunken mess they had created the night before. Dena drew the turtle on the wall that had gotten her rejected from the art school that accepts everyone and Regina found a giant ceramic bunny rabbit with a full coat of lipstick painted on it. Dena tried to thank Regina for a lovely evening but was quickly shushed and sent home. Back at Sam's apartment again, Sam set her own attempt at an evil scheme into motion. She pretended that she and Todd had just finished rekindling their romance when Chloe came home. The plan seemed to be a success until Todd walked in the front door. When the group finally decided to discuss the issue and Sam got Chloe to confess to butchering her own stuffed bear, Chloe admitted she was just jealous of how beautiful and intelligent Sam is. Sam decided to finally leave her apartment once and for but not before trying once more for Todd by claiming she found Chloe's ovulation kit. After a brief encounter with her all-knowing doorman, Sam returned home broken-hearted once again seeking the comfort of her hungover mother. Overall, I was a little disappointed with the return of Samantha Who. Don't get me wrong, there were a number of great one-liners but I think I just really want Sam to move on from Todd. As I mentioned at the beginning of this blog, I feel like if they get together too soon it will ruin the show. I'd love see her interact with other men before they return to the Sam/Todd relationship. I really only got enjoyment out of Jean Smarts hilarious lines to Dena. I would of liked a bit more Andrea though. So what'd you all think? Was the long-awaited return as good as where we left off? Did the psycho-Chloe storyline work for you? Let us know! Memorable Moments: -Andrea throwing Biscotti crumbs at the coffee guy for mispronouncing her name -Regina Newly convincing Dena to stay and do makeovers: "Your mother's dead and my daughter is out gallivanting, you see how we're both suffering? You were a very special little girl...and that wonder woman costume you wore throughout fifth grade proved it! So what kind of wine does Wonder Woman drink...Cabernet or Tequila?" Quote of the week: "Now you have to spill a secret about yourself. Something fun...like a dream that was crushed!" Samantha Who kicked off this week with a simple flower delivery. Although there was no sign of him in last week's episode, apparently Sam and Kevin are still dating and it's gotten to the point where Sam is ready to take that next step. As we've seen in her previous attempt to sleep with a man, Sam's got some much to learn about the art of seduction before she could take that plunge. When she turns to Dena for some advice on her big night, it's obvious that Dena is pretty clueless on the subject as well when she suggests Sam "make her carpet match the drapes" by making her bra match her panties. Upon visiting Todd to pick up some of her belongings, Sam learns that Todd's new girlfriend has a drawer of stuff at the apartment and he explains that the carpet/drapes phrase doesn't mean what she thinks it does. Nonetheless, Sam finally has her big moment with Kevin and when all is said and done she thinks she's fallen in love. And as we've come to expect from this show, it doesn't end well. The next day, a giddy Sam returns home announcing to the world that she's in love. Her mom is nothing but supportive while Andrea warns that it's just a case of post-sex euphoria and that Sam should move on before she gets too involved. Meanwhile, Sam's assistant was taking full advantage of her boss' kindness and slacking on her duties at the office. After spending another night with Kevin, Sam suggests she get her own drawer at his place and he half-heartedly agrees. When Sam goes over to Todd's to pick up more of her stuff, he also expresses concern that Sam might be moving too fast in her first relationship. She ignores Todd's friendly advice and on a date with Kevin later in the night, he dumps her. Depressed and confused, Sam returns to work the next morning unable to stop crying. She starts working on a collage of all the things she and Kevin could have done together but before she could send it to him, Andrea stops her and takes her home to drown her sorrows in a bottle of wine. Though Sam was reluctant at first because she was supposedly in AA, her assistant informs her that her meetings were court-ordered and she's not actually an alcoholic. Bring on the booze! Later on, we see drunk Samantha sitting around with her friends and mother while listening to Gloria Gaynor's I Will Survive on repeat. As they discussed Sam's failed relationship, the conversation shifted to Sam claiming that she is unlovable and she began questioning "Who could love a girl with head problems?" Dena offered up Todd as an example. Sam sets out on a journey to Todd's apartment in all her drunken glory. When Sam arrived at the apartment building and began screaming for Todd, Frank the doorman remained unaffected by Sam's actions. As Sam explained that she needed to know if Todd ever loved her, Frank decided to take her to sober up and offer some sagely advice. The two discussed relationships and love and as Frank continued to spew out his words of wisdom, some more of Sam's memory came rushing back. Sam flashed back to her relationship with Todd when he had tried to get her to say those 3 little words. Of course, old Sam never actually told Todd that she loved him and so new Sam set out to let him know how she really felt back then. When she returned to work reflecting on everything she learned about love this week, she found Tracy still slacking off on the job and realized that trying to be girlfriends with her assistant wasn't really working out. For a brief moment, she let old Sam slip out to put Tracy back in her place only this time she made sure to include please and thank you. This week's show was chock full of cliches about love mostly taken from classic songs and Frank the doorman's screenplay. It was surprising to see that Andrea was kind of right on with her advice to Sam for a change. But I guess when it comes to sex Andrea would be the best person to talk to over Dena and Regina. I loved that we got to see more from Sam's assistant though many of you didn't really like her in earlier episodes. I'm hoping she continues to grow as a character like the rest of the group has because I can definitely see her as nice addition to the crew. And again, I like that Sam's confession to loving Todd didn't lead to her trying to win hi back right away. As I've said before, I'll be happy for as long as they drag that out. It was good to have Frank back though I prefer him when he's cracking one-liners over what he did this week. I'm so glad this show hasn't run out of episodes yet! Memorable Moments: -The opening scene with Sam's assistant Tracy: "I know that I used to be someone that you had to be afraid of...as did the mailroom people, and the homeless, cats, some clergy." "Garbage flowers!" -Andrea trying to convince Sam that Kevin is a gay lumberjack: "Sweetie, my brother is respectful and he moved to Amsterdam to marry his respectful friend Jay." -Dena's sex advice -Sam and Todd discussing their "friendship" -Sam learning from Tracy that she's not an alcoholic but rather a judge forced her into AA when she got drunk before a flight upon learning she had to fly coach: "You even made me fly with you so I can serve you drinks like you were in first class!" Favorite line of the episode: Sam's reaction to Frank's advice on love: "Oh my God! You speak the words of Gloria!"

Ahh, the sweet freedom of having a driver's license! I'm sure most of us can recall that glorious day when mom and pop handed over the keys to the family car and gave us the classic speech about trust and responsibility. If you're anything like me, then you can also recall the moment you broke that trust by telling a little white lie about how that dent found its way onto the bumper of the car a short time later(whoops!) This week on Samantha Who?, Sam learned that lesson after convincing her father to let her take the family car for a night out with Dena. As expected, things didn't go so well during the girls' night out and Sam wrecked the car. In an attempt to keep her father's trust, Samantha convinces Dena to help her get rid of the evidence so they could play it off that the car was actually stolen. Just another day in the life of Samantha Newly. The next morning over coffee, Sam had to explain to Dena that old Sam had not returned and their actions were just "a rash decision to commit a small crime to save her dear father's heart." While Sam and Dena continued to discuss the incident, Andrea joined them at the table pissed off about having been stood up the night before. Upon returning home, Sam discovered her father had taken precautions following the car theft and began to install an alarm system in their house. To make things worse, her parents also presented her with a brand new car to prove their renewed trust in her. As Sam got behind the wheel of her new ride, she caught a glimpse of old Samantha winking at her in the rear view window signifying that by accepting this gift, old Samantha was slowly starting to bubble up to the surface. Unable to bring herself to drive the car, Sam just sat in the driveway until her mother came out and found her. Sam cleared her conscience by confessing her crime but instead of scolding her daughter, Regina Newly used the opportunity to blackmail her own flesh and blood into attending her "solution 6" party. Meanwhile, Andrea caught up with Dena outside her house and got the truth by bribing her with lemon cookies. The two made their way over to the Newly house so Andrea could give Sam a piece of her mind. They arrived in the middle of mama Newly's fashion show where Sam was being forced to model each and every convertible outfit. When Sam came clean about also confessing to their crime, Andrea reminded Sam of "the night of the sacrificial shoe." The night when Sam helped her mother push their car into the very same lake. As the memory came rushing back to her, old Samantha resurfaced to seek revenge against her manipulative mother. How did Sam get back at her mother? By fishing out the old car, parking it in the driveway, and removing all of the tow truck numbers from the phone book. Finally, Sam decided her only option to avoid becoming her mother was to tell her father the truth. After coming clean once again, Sam and her dad shared a nice father/daughter moment pushing the car back into the lake to avoid any issues with the insurance company. Overall, not my favorite episode of the season but still a good one. Seeing Sam start to regress back to old Sam was great but learning she got the car-dumping thing from her mom made it even better. And, as always, the scenes featuring Andrea were a riot. Jennifer Esposito is really doing a bang-up job with this character. No matter who she's interacting with, the scene is guaranteed to be comedy gold. Jean Smart also continues to shine with every attempt to win her daughter's affection. Though ABC has struggled with sitcoms in the past (Was I the only one really into last season's Help Me Help You?), they've definitely stumbled onto something great with this one. Memorable Moments: -"You can't see a raccoon at night...it's wearing a mask!" -Sam getting interrogated by Andrea at the coffee shop -Howard Newly's justification for the alarm system: "Criminals were in our driveway Samantha...a few feet from where we sleep...occasionally in the buff." -Mama Newly remembering, yet again, about her daughter's amnesia: "Oh, that's right! You've got that forgetting disease." -Andrea's reaction to hearing the truth about why she got stood up: "Honey, I'm an attorney! Web of deceit is where I get my mail." -"It looks just as good out at night as it does stumbling home in the morning." -Andrea shaking Sam to bring back her memory of "the night of the sacrificial shoe" and Dena's response: "Is that a Nancy Drew book?" -Sam's old playpen...a bird cage Favorite Line: Regina Newly trying to entice Sam to be a part of her fashion show: "It's a revolutionary new clothing system: 6 pieces give you outfits for 60 different occasions. It's like when Jesus fed all those people with bread and fish!"

Ohh, little Samantha! Just as soon as she starts getting her memory back, her family and friends try pushing to get her back into the dating world. Despite there being an episode 2 weeks ago where Sam was trying to remember sex, this week it was all about finding that special someone whom Sam could connect with. With Andrea about to jet off to Rome with her new beau and Todd spending time with the kind but dimwitted Chloe, Sam felt the pressure to give her romantic life a kick start and who else to help her do it but her own mother. And thus begins another week of Samantha Who? As Sam brought Andrea over to her place to pick up some clothing, they interrupted Todd's date night with Chloe who had it in her head that Sam's amnesia also messed with her hearing and tried to sign everything she wanted to communicate. Wanting to make Todd jealous, Sam told him she too had big date plans for the night when, in fact, her plans were to play board games with Dena. While trying to weasel out of accepting the blue peg into her car in the game of Life, Sam's mother confronted her about being anti-social. Sam tried to express how she wouldn't make for the most interesting date considering she knows very little about herself but her mother continued to insist she get out and play the game. The next day as Sam returned home, she literally stumbled upon a potential suitor (Kevin) who was hired to do some work on her house. Kevin ( Eddie Cibrian) quickly learned that he was hired more as an escort than a handyman when he and Sam were left alone to a candle-lit dinner. As Kevin started to reveal a bit about himself, the only thing Sam could reveal was her interest in hockey. As luck would have it, a mutual love for hockey created an instant bond between Sam and Kevin. The only problem being that Sam couldn't actually remember anything about the sport. When Kevin showed up to her work the next day with tickets to a game, Sam needed a crash-course from her ex turned best buddy, Todd. While Todd and Sam made their way to the stadium to learn about hockey, Dena and Andrea met up at the bar after Andrea's guy left for Rome without her. Without Sam there to listen to her narcissistic rant, Andrea was forced to turn to Dena for support in what may have been the funniest scene of this series so far. Sam tried to buy her and Todd tickets to the hockey game but was turned down when she learned she was banned from the stadium. In a flashback to old Sam, we learn Sam was banned from the stadium for faking a disability to get free tickets. She and Todd instead hit up a local sports bar and started to discuss their past relationship. Todd filled in the blanks for Sam as to where her watch and the scar on her toe came from. Meanwhile, Dena continued to help Andrea get over her rejection by insisting that her man just couldn't handle a strong woman. Back at the sports bar, Sam and Todd's new-found friendship grew over a game of darts when Kevin showed up for a post-game drink. Sam decided it best to come clean to him about everything and hope that he'd still be interested even with all her baggage. He was. When Sam finally caught up with Andrea and Dena later in the night, the girls were wasted while pretending to be Canadian flight attendants. How ironic that just when Sam realizes it's best to honest, her friends go and do the exact opposite. I think I'm gonna like this Dena/Andrea pairing. At this point, I think it goes without saying that I enjoyed the episode. I tend to say that every week despite enjoying some episodes more than others. This one was right up there due in large part to Eddie Cibrian. He's been completely entertaining in both his guest spot on here and on Dirty Sexy Money a few weeks back. Also, I tend to crack up at just about everything that comes out of Andrea's mouth and this week she totally made up for the brief scenes we got with Jean Smart. I gotta say, I'm also now kinda rooting for Sam and Todd to stay friends. Though I think they'd make a sweet couple, I really don't want this show to take the Ross/Rachel path that so many sitcoms tend to do these days. They worked really well together in this week's episode even though both characters had their own romances starting up and pairing them up too soon may spoil the nice balance we got going on right now. And as I also mentioned last week, I'm really liking how they're developing Dena's character. As she's been hanging around with Sam and Andrea she's become much less of a pushover and its made her character a lot more likable. Memorable Moments: The definition of "going for a run" Sam's Shampoo: Comfort Inn and Meeting Center brand "I did not raise you to use amnesia as an excuse!" Sam's Australian accent when being friendly with Todd The return of Sam's assistant "This is why I can't go out on dates. Because 1 dinner and I'm just sweating and exhausted from trying to make some stranger think I'm something that I'm not." Andrea's response: "Sweetheart, that is a date!" "Get this, he's gonna take me to this factory that makes nothing but cheesecake!" Favorite Line: Andrea and Dena's touching moment: "Don't hug me! Just rub my arm."

I swear, nothing cures a case of the Mondays like some good prime-time comedy. Although this whole writers' strike thing has already started to affect many of the shows I love, Samantha Who? is still going strong and it looks like it will continue to bring us new episodes for the next several weeks. Another reason to love this show and its writers! This week Sam met with a hypnotherapist, hoping the good doctor would be able to cure her amnesia. As the episode got under way, Sam was preparing some dinner at Todd's apartment. Todd arrived home just in time to stop Samantha from burning the place down and to let her know she was allergic to the oregano she was using in her tomato sauce. That night she met up with the girls for some drinks at their favorite hot spot. During Andrea's time to vent, Sam learned that a hypnotherapist just might be the solution to her problem. Upon discussing the idea with her folks, both parents were against it. Nevertheless, Sam decided to see for herself. And in her first session with the hypnotherapist, Sam discovered she was adopted. While discussing her situation with Dena and Andrea, both friends had their own opinions on the matter. Dena was excited over the possibility that Sam's real parents could be a princess and a ninja, while Andrea advised Sam against dating older men for the time being in case her biological dad is hot. All the stress made Sam crave a cigarette, a habit she discovered she had through hypnotherapy — she had started smoking way back when she and Dena were trying to fit in with the cool kids at school. When she went home to confront her parents, they denied she was adopted but refused to show a birth certificate to prove it. As she rummaged through her room looking for a leftover cigarette, she found a necklace that she believed was a gift from her birth parents. Not able to trust the people who raised her, Sam sought shelter at Andrea's. Alas, Sam had no luck getting Andrea to let her stay over. Apparently, they had tried the arrangement once before and a fight over a scrunchie led the girls to throw lamps at one another, creating a hole in Andrea's wall. Back to Todd's place! Just when Sam was thanking Todd for how kind he's been to her since the accident, Todd confessed that his apartment was actually hers. She kicked him out and declared her apartment a liar-free zone. But after a series of mishaps, Sam learned that living on her own isn't as fun as it seems (especially with a case of amnesia). Later on, as Sam recalled her recent discoveries about her life to Frank the doorman, he pointed out to her that her memories of a heart-shaped locket and adventures with a tall bald man and a dog were actually the story of Little Orphan Annie, a role she performed in a school play. While Sam contemplated the mess she'd made of her life at the prospect of being adopted, her mother swung by the apartment for a visit and a nice mother-daughter heart to heart. The two discussed why Regina (Sam's mom) had such an issue with Sam going to the hypnotherapist, and it all came down to her fear that Sam would remember that she wasn't the best mother. Realizing that she was not quite ready to live on her own, Sam decided to let Todd have her apartment as she returned home to live with her parents. Thus concludes another wonderfully enjoyable episode. The dynamic between Sam and her parents gets better with each episode. I love how they treat her like she's still a child and each episode ends with her realizing that she kind of is, despite being in her thirties. We also saw Dena with a bit of edge to her. Not only did we learn that she was once a smoker but she even poked fun at Andrea for a change when she pondered whether Sam's real dad might be hot. And finally, Todd showed that he isn't the perfect guy we all thought he was. I was starting to get annoyed by the fact that he seemed to be the only one in her life without his fair share of issues. It'll be nice to see how he develops over the rest of the season. See y'all next week! Memorable moments: • Sam's defense regarding her fear of elevators: "Have you ever been in an elevator? It's like riding in a coffin falling down a mine shaft." • Andrea's reaction to Sam being allergic to oregano: "I would kill to have a food allergy! It's like nature's diet. I spent five years trying to become lactose intolerant." • Andrea's thoughts on Sam being adopted: "What? Who cares? You're adopted! It's so in right now I can't even tell you. Really, get some bronzer and you could be from anywhere in the world!" • Sam trying to order takeout • "Cheer up Miss Newly, the sun will come out! Guess when?" "You don't play adorable well... it comes off as snide." Quote of the week: Andrea's justification for not letting Sam stay with her: "I care about being your friend way too much to be here for you!"

This week's Samantha Who? showed us a crazier side of Samantha Newly. It started out with a gun-toting Sam recounting the events that brought her to the current place and time, riding shotgun in the car of her mortified friend. Apparently, it all began with a family trip for ice cream. While sampling every possible food option at the ice-cream parlor, Samantha got overwhelmed with emotion when The Go-Go's We Got the Beat started playing. Later, as she tried to find out if the song had any ties to her relationship with Todd, a random stranger spots her on the street and immediately runs in the opposite direction while yelling about a restraining order. She excuses herself to chase after the raving maniac to figure out how they know each other. This leads her to Andrea. It turns out Andrea not only knew about the restraining order, she also represented Sam in court. As Sam reviewed the details of the complaint, we learn that old Sam practically tortured this poor Nathan guy. Feeling the need to make amends with the man she once stalked, she tracks Nathan down at his apartment. He's so fearful of her, he sneaks down his fire escape just to avoid any kind of interaction. Just to make a bad situation worse, Sam relives her stalking days by breaking into Nathan's car to try to have a minute with him. Her attempt to make good fails when a car drives by playing that same Go-Go's tune from earlier in the episode. She returns home unsuccessful. Seeking her parents' advice, Sam's mother offers no help, but her father is too focused on the start of hunting season to pay her any attention. Andrea later convinces her that issues with her father are the real cause for her troubles. Sam sets out on a mission to get to know her father and decides to tag along on his hunting trip. When they arrive, Sam's father wants to hunt in peace but Sam wants to have some real father/daughter bonding. After making no progress, Sam calls Dena for a ride home, bringing us up-to-date on what brought her to Dena's car at the start of the episode. Dena drives Sam to the sporting-goods store to return the gun and they run into Nathan. He freaks out at the sight of his stalker armed with a hunting rifle and Sam is arrested for the incident. Her father comes to bail her out, and as they drive home she suddenly remembers the significance behind the Go-Go's song. It was the song that played the day she got a horrible haircut in high school, which she attributed to her losing the homecoming-queen crown. It was also the day that she stopped being Daddy's little girl and began to turn into what we know as old Samantha. Realizing how her bad behavior created a rift between her and her father, Sam made a deal with her dad to try to get back the relationship they once had. Overall, I was a little disappointed with this week's show. I loved the scenes between Christina Applegate and Jean Smart, as usual, but I was really hoping for more humorous interactions between Sam and her father. I've enjoyed Kevin Dunn's random one-liners in past episodes and was looking forward to hearing more from his character. However, the scenes between them ended up having a pretty serious tone about the father-daughter dynamic and there weren't many jokes made. As nice as I found those scenes, I'm not ready to get teary-eyed during this show quite yet. Thoughts? Memorable moments: • Todd, when discussing with Sam whether they had a song: "Every time I suggested a song, you laughed at me and asked if I was on my period." • Samantha politely excusing herself to chase down Nathan • Sam nailing Nathan in the back with an orange • Andrea saying "It wasn't free!" after Sam thanks her for the representation • Sam breaking into Nathan's car: "Another skill I never knew I had." • Sam watching The Deer Hunter to prepare for the hunting trip with her dad • Sam explaining why she's had enough connecting time with her mother: "There is not an amnesia strong enough to erase the memory of last week's tai chi exercises!" • Sam trying to convince her mom to drive her to join her dad's hunting trip: "You can even finish telling me about that really, really interesting dream about you and Samuel L. Jackson." • High-school Sam's rant about her bad haircut and why she won't be homecoming queen Best line of the episode: Sam to her mom after watching The Deer Hunter: "Have you heard of Vietnam? I mean, do people know about that?"

I said it last week but I'll say it again: I really love this show. I usually receive the preview clips to get up on TVGuide.com every Thursday and whenever I do, it just psyches me up for another Monday night with Samantha and Co. When I found out that this week's show would be about Samantha trying to remember sex, I made the decision to put Heroes on hold for an hour and check out Samantha Who? in real time. Yep, even a DVR delay was too much for me! This week's episode started out with a great family moment with the Newlys. Papa Newly was on the couch checking out the tube while Mama Newly tossed her daughter some backhanded compliments before Sam headed for a night out with Andrea. Sam and Andrea arrive at the bar and immediately catch the eye of the sleaziest guy in the bar. The guy uses every lame pickup line in the book to which Sam is completely oblivious. After Andrea needs to pull a rescue mission, it occurs to Sam that she can't recall pickup lines, or anything related to sex for that matter. What's a girl to do? Talk to her mom, of course! Really?! As if she can't recall the type of person her mother is, Sam goes off to have a chat with mom about the birds and the bees. Before the conversation is even under way, Sam's mom thinks the conversation is about her period. Not a great start. Next, Sam is told to refer to sex as "the happy touch." Her dad has his own name for it: the special hug. When the conversation shifts focus to her parents' first times, Sam decides her friends would be the best bet for this topic. Playing the angel vs. devil roles we've come to see them as, Andrea and Dina have completely dissenting opinions on how Sam should handle this situation. Andrea advises she go out and lose her v-card right away but Dina suggests waiting for the right guy. Andrea tries to convince Sam that sex was such a huge part of who she was before the accident that having it again might bring all of her memory back. After getting very little help from her friends, Sam goes off to visit Todd to pick up some more stuff and talk about their sexual history. That night, Sam learns from her mother that her first time was when she was 17, which she learned from reading Sam's diary. Andrea tells her that sex is just like riding a bike, so Sam busts out her old bicycle, which she apparently can't remember either. Later on, Sam and Andrea are out for another night on the town. Sam has some apprehension about trying to pick up a guy, doubting her ability to perform well in the sack. Andrea assures her she's good based on a $300 offer the two were given back in old Sam's glory days. Just as Andrea gets Sam ready to reel in her fish, Dina shows up to be the voice of reason. Sam learns she and Dina also shared a few smooches back in the day. Just when things couldn't get any more embarrassing for Andrea, Sam's mother shows up to join the girls night. As the three speculate on Sam's potential suitors, Sam reaches the end of her rope and goes with Dina's choice: 21-year-old Jason. As Jason and Sam get off to an awkward start, Jason reveals to Sam that he's a virgin and Sam realizes she needs to be with someone she has history with. Just as it dawns on her that Todd is the guy for her, the memory of her first time with him comes rushing back. When she makes her way to his apartment, she discovers he's moved on and there's a new girl at his apartment. Sam returns home to sleep alone and face what no child should ever have to deal with: her parents having sex in the next room. This was another great episode. With the amount I've been enjoying this show, it was damn near impossible for me not to like an episode built entirely around sex. Even though last week I was loving Dina's lines, this week Jean Smart and Jennifer Esposito take the cake. Every line they said was quotable. I really love how each character plays off the other. Jean Smart and Jennifer Esposito's hatred for one another is hilarious and I hope to see them in a lot more scenes together in coming episodes. Any chance the writers for this show decided not to strike? Memorable moments: • Jean Smart's response to Sam storming out of the house after her mom tells her she looks like a hooker and gives her a 12:00 am curfew: "What? No kiss?" • The whole bar goes quiet when it's revealed that Sam is a virgin. • Sam's parents throwing out all of her sentimental items because she can't remember them anyway • Andrea: "I'll tell ya this... it does not taste like chicken!" Dina: "Most of the time!" • Sam to Frank the doorman: "How am I? I'm a virgin. That's how I am." His response: "Yes, and I'm a pirate!" And later: "Hey Frank, I'm not a virgin anymore!" His response while checking his watch: "And apparently not a cuddler!" • Andrea: "I'm out with a dork, her mother, and her stalker... looks like I'm leading a special-needs field trip!" Best line of the episode: Dina, in response to Andrea calling Sam a child: "Childhood is nice! You get to order off the children's menu. You get to have grilled cheese!"

Around this time every year, I have some important decisions to make. In order to maintain a healthy social life, I have to whittle down my list of must-see shows and drop a few from my viewing schedule. I've already given up on Chuck and based on the episodes stacking up on my DVR, it looks like Reaper may be the next to go. Although I enjoy those shows, my interest in them just isn't strong enough to keep me coming back week after week. Samantha Who?, on the other hand, has quickly become one show that I can't bare to miss (aside from the fact that I blog about it for you fine people!). With each new episode, I become more invested in the characters and their funny little quirks and I can't wait to see what they'll be up to as the series plays out. But now for my recap. At the start of this week's show, Sam's dirty past was continuing to catch up with her. Her answering machine was full of nasty messages ranging from "We had to drain the entire pool because of you!" to "You knew I was allergic to peanuts!" My imaginative little brain had quite the time thinking up the situations that could have led to those comments. Before getting all My Name Is Earl on us, Samantha simply changed her outgoing message to one nice long "Soorrrrrryyyyy!" and chose to fix her past mistakes as the situation called for it. That moment came up pretty soon, when Samantha showed up to be the bridesmaid at a wedding she had been disinvited from. Apparently our sweet Samantha took bets on how long the marriage would last and that didn't exactly please the bride-to-be. With BFF Dina at her side, she set out to make amends for her wrongdoing. It turned out that the rest of her posse was there for the wedding as well. Todd was hired as the photographer and Andrea was there trying to buddy up to the family, hoping to join them on their next yachting adventure. When she tried to explain her amnesia to the bride, she learned that old Samantha had already tried that excuse four years earlier. When Sam finally convinced the bride to forgive her, old Sam reared her ugly head again when she ditched Dina to party with her new friend. Poor Dina got stuck cutting up steak for an elderly relative while Sam came a bit closer to rekindling her romance with Todd. Later, as Sam got to know her old friend again, another chunk of her memory filled in. Turns out she had actually convinced her friend to cheat on her fiancé the night of her engagement, justifying it by saying, "It's only bad if you get caught!" Meanwhile, a drunk and rejected Dina sought consolation from Todd. When Sam got back in the good graces of her old friend, she was asked to make a toast to the bride and groom. Her attempt to make a nice speech about marriage being a chance to start fresh became an all-out confessional where everyone involved in the wedding party spilled their dirty secrets. When Sam made a run for the exit to find Dina and flee the scene, Dina had already gone and it seemed that all hopes of her getting back with Todd had been dashed. Back to square one! Sam went back to her hotel room to find Dina but found her parents showering together instead. She went over to Dina's house to apologize to the one friend who never held a grudge and the two enjoyed a nice cup of cocoa. The episode ended with Todd reviewing the wedding pictures, trying to decide whether to delete Sam from the album (and his life). This to me was another strong episode. In the earlier episodes I was liking Andrea more than Dina and hoped to see more of the devil than the angel. This week I completely flip-flopped. I really enjoyed the small doses of Andrea and loved the awkwardness of Dina. Walking out of the wedding proved her to be more than just the dim-witted sidekick I'd tagged her as. She's not going to be the butt of all the jokes, the one loser hanging out with the cool kids. I also liked the limited use of Jean Smart. I was starting to agree with the comments that her character could be a bit over-the-top, so this week was the perfect dosage. Can't wait for next week! Memorable Moments: • Dina trying to bond with Todd by recalling the times they hung out in the hospital while Sam was in the coma: "Remember that mean clerk at the hospital gift shop? What was her deal?" • Mama Newly desperately wanting to remodel her bathroom. What's with her obsession with home makeovers? • Andrea's comment as the wedding became chaotic: "On the plus side, at least I won the pool." • Best line of the episode: "Step off, beyotch, or I'll cap yo' ass! I have no idea where that came from.... I just meant to say, 'Yes, me too!'"

After waking up from a coma in last week's premiere, this week Samantha continued her quest to figure out who she is. While the people around her were eager to make up for lost time, Samantha's main priority was to refamiliarize herself with the daily routine she kept before the accident. It's too bad she can't remember what she does for a living. Before she could begin to figure out where she works, Samantha had an appointment with what she was expecting to be a neurologist. She was mortified to learn that her appointment was actually with a plastic surgeon to make her boobs bigger, an appointment she had made before her accident. After randomly bumping into Andrea near the doctor's office, Sam discovered her best friend is also a coworker and she just made perfect timing for her first day back on the job as vice president of something. Still having no clue what exactly her job entailed, Samantha had to pretend to have her full memory and follow along with a lie (thanks to Andrea) that her time off was spent in a rehab facility. I guess that's more acceptable in her cutthroat industry than a case of amnesia. Samantha was also reintroduced to her assistant, whom old Samantha treated like a doormat. Before she could get any info from her assistant, she's dragged into a meeting where she learns she works for a real-estate company whose business practices are pretty questionable. It's the type of company that tears down a church to put up something more profitable like a mini-mall. Disgusted by her career choice, Samantha went out to let off some steam and contemplate her next move. Dina reminded her that her life is a blank slate and that she can do anything with it. That is, until the bill comes and her credit card gets declined. Looks like the 180 she tried to pull on her life won't be as easy as she'd hoped with the $30,000 in credit card debt she owes. Damn the seductive power of shoes! Suddenly, Andrea's advice to keep her life as is might be her only option. While trying to come up with a way to be satisfied in her current job, Samantha flashed back to life at the office with old Samantha. The flashback reminded her of how her boss makes inappropriate sexual remarks to female employees and she uses this knowledge to save the church and bring about some change in her workplace. Just another day in the life of our favorite amnesiac, Samantha Who?. This episode was def. better than the pilot. I'm still loving Jean Smart and even Barry Watson (Todd) is starting to grow on me. His confused look during Sam's Old Me/Future Me speech was great and it'll be fun to watch him deal with an ex that shows no sign of going away. But I do have to agree with the comments made last week about the Dina character. Her one-liners remind me of all the other dimwitted sidekicks we've seen over and over in sitcoms. I am, however, really enjoying the new work aspect of the show. Her boss (played by Rick Hoffman) could be a great addition to an already fun cast of characters. It'll also be fun to watch Samantha's assistant live in constant fear of what her boss might make her do. If this show continues on the path its on, it might soon become my favorite new comedy of the season. Memorable moments: • Mama Newly saying "I mean if we're not going to get to know each other again... what was the point of getting hit by that car?" and later trying to convince Samantha how much she loves puzzles • Frank the doorman giving Samantha style advice by quoting Coco Chanel: "When accessorizing, women should look in the mirror and remove one thing... for you it was always your dignity." • Samantha wanting to help the little people and Andrea's response: "What little people? Dwarves? They don't need your help!" • Samantha accidentally forcing her diabetic assistant to eat birthday cake in an attempt to be a kinder, gentler boss • Samantha's breakdown over having to work to pay off her bills • Best line of the night: "How am I supposed to start fresh when my past keeps reaching into my future and pulling me into my present?"

Kelly Bundy's back! Of all of the new shows premiering this season, Samantha Who? ranked high on my must-see list.
