Eva Longoria Parker by Danny Feld/ABC
The Housewife:
Gabrielle aka Gaby (Eva Longoria Parker)

The Household:
• Ex-husband Carlos (Ricardo Antonio Chavira) — currently blind and broke after the disastrous tornado and the almost equally disastrous affair he was having with Gaby behind everyone's back.
• Mayor and dead husband Victor (John Slattery) — killed when hit with flying debris during the tornado (ironically for this show, the debris was a dangerously sharp edge of a white picket fence).

Her Desperate Situation:
Gaby was cheating on her formerly alive husband with her still-alive but now-blind ex-husband. Trouble is, she's unaware that Carlos' loss of sight isn't temporary — it's permanent. Oh, and Victor left her nothing in his will. Victor's wealthy father Milton (Mike Farrell) called Gaby a "cheating, lying whore" at the funeral and told her she was getting zilch. Gaby quietly stormed out of that church as if she was walking the catwalk. Adding to her desperation is that little issue of losing the needed paperwork from Carlos' $10 million Cayman Islands offshore account due to the tornado's strong winds and desperately trying to grab the papers away from Edie (Nicollette Sheridan). It doesn't help that Al the accountant perished in the tornado and Gaby wasn't able to retrieve copies of the paperwork during an awkward visit to Al's grieving widow's house. This means Gaby and Carlos are desperate for dough.

What We Know Will Happen (Possible Spoiler Alert):
Gaby's formerly secret relationship with Carlos is a real eyesore after they get remarried and he continues to hide his blindness diagnosis. Edie will continue her desperate desire to lure back Carlos by spilling the blindness beans to Gaby. Gaby surprises all by standing by her man... and taking advantage of his handicapped parking placard, even when Carlos is not in the car with her (this makes a handicapped man in the neighborhood very angry). Carlos gets a seeing-eye dog named Roxy and Gaby tries to get Roxy to help her do things like fetch the remote. Carlos won't be the only husband on the block who Edie spends time with: The housewives will wrongfully accuse Edie of bedding one of the other hubbies. And continuing the "best guest stars from our favorite shows of the past" tradition, Justine Bateman from Family Ties joins the show as an artist living with Gaby and Carlos.

What We Think Might Happen:
When Edie reveals to Gaby that Carlos will never get his eyesight back, she says, in classic Edie fashion: "What are you, blind? Oh, I'm sorry, that's right... Carlos is blind. But what you don't know is that he's never going to see again. He's too scared you'll leave him so he's pretending it's temporary." Cue the bitch slap. However, in typical soap-opera fashion, Carlos miraculously gets his sight back. Then there's that rumor about what might happen to everyone in the season finale!

Felicity Huffman as Lynette by Danny Feld/ABC
The Housewife:
Lynette (Felicity Huffman)

The Household:
• Husband Tom (Doug Savant) — pizza-parlor owner with a bad back, allergies and a jealousy streak; presently very happy to be alive.
• Son Parker (Zane Huett) — the least bratty brat who misses Ida Greenberg (Pat Crawford Brown), but now adores his babysitter Mrs. McCluskey (Kathryn Joosten), even though she can still be a Crabby Spice.
• Twin sons Preston and Porter (Brent and Shane Kinsman) — brat squared.
• Daughter Penny (Kirsten and Darien Pinkerton) — youngest Scavo brat who rarely says anything.
• Illegitimate Kayla (Rachel Fox) — Tom's bratty daughter from a previous relationship who's still trying to adjust to life without her late mother.

Her Desperate Situation:
Most of Lynette's desperation is seemingly over since she is now cancer-free and her hubby and all five of their children survived being trapped underground beneath late neighbor Ida's tornado-demolished house. Ida sacrificed her own life by saving Lynette's entire family, so Lynette is desperate to move on from Ida's memory. Lynette is also desperate to maintain her sanity with a house full of brats, especially Kayla, who can be the biggest handful of all the kiddies.

What We Know Will Happen (Possible Spoiler Alert):
Lynette becomes very spiritual and starts going to church with Bree (Marcia Cross). Just when you think her desperate days are behind her, Lynette's big crushy-crush Rick (Jason Gedrick), the hunky chef with a heart of gold and a passion for Lynette, returns to town to cook up more trouble between the Scavo duo. Rick opens up a nearby pizza place, much to the disgust of Tom. Tom's jealousy gets the worst of him: It seems as though he's the reason a certain "unfortunate occurrence" happens to Rick. After cops drop by Scavo's pizzeria investigating a vandalism incident (someone threw a brick through Rick's new restaurant window, causing a fire), Lynette points her finger at Tom. Oh, and Lynette's hair grows back.

What We Think Might Happen:
Although Lynette will contemplate having an affair with her crush, she'll remain the only Wisteria Lane housewife not desperate enough to act upon her fantasies. Marc Cherry agrees that we need at least one of our favorite couples to remain a couple: "Tom and Lynette's is the marriage that America has said to me, 'You have to protect them.' I have to be very careful." Mrs. McCluskey will grow even closer to the Scavos. The almost-arrested development of spreading Ida's ashes over the baseball field with Lynette really bonded the two of them, creating a new mother-daughter friendship. But Lynette's real mother, Stella (the stellar Polly Bergen), will return and grow jealous of Lynette's new "mama wannabe." Then there's that rumor about what might happen to everyone in the season finale!

Teri Hatcher as Susan by Danny Feld/ABC
The Housewife:
Susan (Teri Hatcher)

The Household:
• Husband Mike (James Denton) — a plumber addicted to pain pills, currently in rehab, has a hot temper and a father who's in jail for murder.
• Daughter Julie (Andrea Bowen) — unlucky in love, frequently embarrassed by her mother, wishes Susan was more like Bree (Marcia Cross).

Her Desperate Situation:
Susan desperately used "tough love" on Mike by forcing him into rehab. Meanwhile, out of desperation to maintain the fabulous home-cooking and meticulous laundry services of Bree, mama-to-be Susan plotted to spoil any attempts by Bree to find a new home by scaring away Walter (J.C. MacKenzie), the potential contractor. Susan often gets herself into pratfalls, sometimes so much that some viewers are desperate to change the channel.

What We Know Will Happen (Possible Spoiler Alert):
Susan continues to help Mike struggle post-rehab while simultaneously continuing to house Bree, Orson (Kyle MacLachlan) and family. Mike visits everyone he has wronged to ask for forgiveness, including the sleepwalking Orson. We get to finally find out why Orson ran over Mike in that mysterious hit-and-run a few seasons ago, which put Mike into a coma. Susan's handsome accountant cousin Tim (Chris Carmack from The O.C.) comes to town to help Susan with her taxes, but the real taxing situation will be when Susan catches horndog Tim in a "sexual situation" with Katherine (Dana Delany). Seems Tim recognizes Katherine as Mrs. Davis, the name she had when she last lived on Wisteria Lane. Then Tim tries to woo Katherine's daughter Dylan (Lyndsy Fonseca) once he discovers she's turning 18. That age will have some significance since Tim reveals to Susan that he lost his previous job because he banged his boss' 18-year-old daughter. Both Julie and Dylan become debutantes at the Founders' Ball that Bree and Katherine plan. Susan attends her first Lamaze class, but Mike has to miss it since it coincides with the day he receives his 30-day chip, marking 30 days of saying no to drugs. Susan bumps into her ex-hubby Karl (Richard Burgi) at her Lamaze class (Karl's there with his new, pregnant girlfriend, don'tcha know).

What We Think Might Happen:
Susan loses her baby. Yes, she fell down a flight of stairs after the domestic tiff with Mike, which only caused a sprained ankle and didn't harm her future baby, but her next pratfall? Not so lucky. Mike makes it through rehab, but his clean slate doesn't last very long. He falls back off the wagon after getting that 30-day chip off his shoulder, causing Susan to leave him for good. Julie gets a boyfriend who doesn't cheat on her with Danielle (Joy Lauren). Then there's that rumor about what might happen to everyone in the season finale!

Marcia Cross as Bree by Ron Tom/ABC
The Housewife:
Bree (Marcia Cross)

The Household:
• Husband Orson (Kyle MacLachlan) — a dentist still hiding a mysterious past who wrote a prescription for pain pills for Mike (James Denton). Bree knows just about everything about Orson's past, but there are still some holes to fill.
• Son Andrew (Shawn Pyfrom) — young, single and gay, but wishes his mama would stop playing matchmaker and making him dress up as Cher.
• Daughter Danielle (Joy Lauren) — away at college. In her quest to raise Danielle's baby as her own, Bree gave Danielle tuition to a "party school." Bribery much? Danielle took Bree up on her offer pronto.
• Baby "son" Benjamin, who's actually Bree's grandson.

Her Desperate Situation:
Bree lost her Martha Stewart-esque house in the devastating tornado, so she and most of her family are staying with Susan (Teri Hatcher) and Julie (Andrea Bowen), much to the delight of Susan and Julie, who love Bree's exquisite housekeeping and cooking skills. Bree desperately wanted her son Andrew to date Walter (J.C. MacKenzie), the potential contractor of her replacement home and friend of neighbor couple Bob (Tuc Watkins) and Lee (Kevin Rahm). Bree will do anything to get her house back. But Susan blew that game plan by doing things like pointing out the obvious age difference between Walter and Andrew (Walter's twice his age). And Bree's most desperate situation is the fact that she is raising her daughter Danielle's baby — the baby she pretended to carry herself by masquerading around Wisteria Lane in maternity clothes equipped with a fake baby bump.

What We Know Will Happen (Possible Spoiler Alert):
In their quest to become the best Martha Stewart on the block, Bree and fellow homemaking perfectionist Katherine (Dana Delany) surprisingly bonded during the tornado, when Bree found out about the affair that Adam (Nathan Fillion), Katherine's hubby, had. But they'll return to being frenemies when they both compete for the Founders' Day award and when Bree tries to poison Katherine, which causes the award to go to Bree. The two of them then call a truce and start a catering company together. Meanwhile, Katherine's presumed-dead ex Wayne (Gary Cole) arrives, and we find out what was written on that note that both Adam and Katherine's daughter Dylan (Lyndsy Fonseca) shockingly gazed at. And Orson starts sleepwalking again.

What We Think Might Happen:
After Orson finally reveals why he ran over Mike in that strange hit-and-run in Season 2, Bree is devastated, asks for a divorce and kicks Orson out of Susan's house. Katherine's ex arrives but he's still dead: He's only seen in flashbacks. Katherine, having learned a lesson when she failed to destroy that note in the fireplace, purchases a shredder. Bob and Lee finally get a storyline. Then there's that rumor about what might happen to everyone in the season finale!
