Since the untimely writers strike and the end of shows such as Pushing Daisies and Eli Stone, it seems that there is nothing fresh and clever enough to tempt my fancy on TV. I know shows such as these turn some people off because God forbid, they are “different” or “unique”, but I like different. I need something more than desperate women going from man to man; I need a plot and occasional appearance by George Michel. Let’s face it Meredith and McDreamy are kaput on Grey’s Anatomy, ER continues to have all of its’ doctors taking more care of each other than their patients, there are still people stuck on the island on Lost and the housewives are still as desperate as ever on Wisteria Lane. Even my old stand by NCIS left me in disgust after Ziva’s fall from grace last week. What is one to do? I am still not desperate enough to cross over into becoming a reality show junkie by watching Deal or No Deal but what other shows deserve my attention? TV Gods (writers) please end my agony and send a show that will truly sparkle and pop!
