Project Runway: Shop Talk

Project Runway.jpg
Victorya was Auf'd! Wow!
Ricky won a challenge (whoa!) but is still crying.
Christian is still shooting off his mouth.
Jillian is a whiner. (who knew)
Chris wants to give Christian a bottle and send him to bed.
Rami can be a meanie.
Sweet P has stepped up her game.
Tim is still dapper.
Heidi should burn that last outfit. (bleech!)
Nina Garcia needs a new stylist and hair cut.
And with the right pair of shoes, Michael Kors will wear anything, including a dress.(TMI)

Were you surprised by the Jeans Challenge?

As always, have a blessed week :-x

I think Jillian might be losing her mind. This is the second week (or is it the third) in a row where she's had a meltdown at the sewing machine. She was yelling something about bleeding everywhere, but I never saw any blood and when Rami checked on her he didn't either. Seems like someone might be going a bit cuckoo.

I love Tim. :-x

I couldn't believe crying Ricky won this week. And he was still crying. When they were complimenting him and he started sobbing, I was like, "Dude, they love your dress, turn off the waterworks for once!"

I can't believe Victorya is gone, but I agree with what they said about her coat/dress.

I thought they were going to send Chris home because of his bland design, but I'm glad he got to stay. He made me laugh when he made fun of Christian.

I'm starting to really like Sweet P.

Hi Vee! Didn't watch the show but wanted to stop by and say hi. Your chicken soup worked wonders and I'm almost back to my normal self. Now if only my tooth would stop hurting.... Hope yours is less painful than mine!

Hi Baby-girl. My mouth is doing better, Thank You Jesus!!! I was pulling out my hair and since I have very little on my head, I was beginning to target the hairs on my legs. Painful. Are all your dental work complete now that you have your crown? I'm still waiting for my insurance to clear me so I can schedule my gum surgery (wah!) Do you watch Project Runway?

Molly - I'm doing better. Thanks. I'm just ready for another part of my body to get some attention. Get your mind out of the gutter. I need a manicure and pedicure. :-p

Hi My Trish! Glad you popped in. I've missed playing with you but understand how busy you are. :-x

Megan - Oooo, I am so glad you watched the episode. First:

Ricky had better man-up or he will not make it in this business. Rejection is part of game and I fear he will be the one having a breakdown in the near future if he doesn't toughen up soon. I liked his design and the execution was beautiful but I felt the judges awarded him winner of the challenge more because of how hard they've been on him. For me Christian's outfit was innovative and totally not expected. I would have place Rami's second behind Christian. And I did see Christian's reaction in not being named the winner.

I also have warmed up to Sweet P. I thought her earlier designs and executions were below average, but she really has surprised me the last 2 challenges. I was expecting her husband to be a leather wearing biker and was surprised to see Joe Accountant - not that there is anything wrong with that (looking over shoulder). I loved her jean dress. That patchwork dress was wonderful and if she had been named the winner instead of Ricky, I wouldn't have had a problem with that.

Jillian is a revelation, isn't she and I don't mean that in a good way. The first 5 shows you barely noticed her but boy has she become more and more vocal and whiny.

"I'm bleeding everywhere!"
"Where, I don't see anything?"

And neither did we. *rolling eyes*

I need to check on something and will be right back.

Hi RevVee:

I'm sorry that you're dealing with dental issues. I'm also saying hello to Famin, too. There's nothing worse than your mouth hurting. I can't function too well when I'm having a tooth ache or my gums are hurting. I hope that both of you are feeling better.

I did watch Project Runway and was surprised that Ricky won. His crying is getting on my nerves. I'm wondering if he's on some kind of hormone treatment?

The Wicked Witch, i.e. Victorya, is gone. She's a great designer, but she usually has this "this is beneath me" look in her eyes. The most excited she seemed was when they did the Avant-Garde look.

I also agree that Christian should've won. Who would've thought of utilizing sleeves for pant legs? I love Chris. His comments about the other contestants are a hoot!

Thanks, RevVee, for the PR blog.

May you and your family have a happy and blessed weekend. Feel better. :)

I agree; it was a good design and I'm fine with him winning, but I thought Christian's was better. I wouldn't have minded Sweet P winning either.

I'm glad your mouth is feeling better!

Hi Lady Bug!

Going back to the last team challenge, did you notice how much more cooperative Victorya was working with Jillian, than Ricky? She showed her snark-tooth with Ricky but found a worthy opponent with Jillian.

They both deserved to be in the bottom two, but I was more worried for Chris. His outfit wasn't anything new or exciting. I had a jean dress similar back in the 80s or early 90s.

I don't believe Victorya thought she was leaving (who really does), but she wasn't the only one shocked.

Of the six designers left, my picks for Bryant Park are:

Jillian
Rami
Christian

I would love if Sweet P or Chris sneaks in there.

Oh Good Lord, that has to be more painful than the tooth! I'm old enough to remember the Epilady!! I'm glad your tooth is better, Sis, and thanks for the well wishes Lady Bug! Mine is sore--I just got the temporary crown so I still have a few more weeks before I can go back and get the real one. But I've been considering myself lucky because although my mouth (especially my gums) are sore, I haven't been in all that much pain on the overall (especially in the wake of the high fever and pain I've been going through this week with the flu). I count my blessings that my teeth are in fairly good shape and don't hurt all that much. (Granted, I have other issues that more than make up for it, but I always feel that pain inside your skull is worse than any pain anywhere else!)
