I. Get. It!
It took time for me to get here, but here I stand. Annoyed. Aggravated, frustrated and if I wasn't surrounded by some of the nicest bloggers (M&Ms included), I would go on but.....!!
I am oh. so. ready to throw up my arms in exasperation! You wanted me to see your ads, to take notice of them. Fine. Believe me I have, but NOT in a good way!
You're treating me like a baby does a diaper.
The site is sluggish. Again. This is so 2006!!!!! I can't change pages without an eternity passing...forget making spelling corrections, or embedding or uploading a picture or simply posting!
I still have to type out my smiley emotions.
Now, I've been patient.
I've been somewhat calm.
Somewhat.
But, this is it!
I am convinced that I am no longer wanted here. I am convinced my blogging pass have been revoked and if I mispelled anything in here - tough noogies!!
Therefore, I hearby give you fair warning and notice....I GIVE UP!!!  *for today anyway*

Awwww Rev even when you're ranting you're nice!!!
It is soooooooo annoying though. My browser keeps crashing or like you said it takes forever to change a page or post. Sometimes when I hit leave comment it takes me to an error page. Don't give up though, you'd be too missed around here.

Rev-sorry to hear you're struggling with the site. I don't know if its my firewall or what, but I don't actually see the ads (space for them, yes, ads, not so much), and I haven't noticed any issues with it being sluggish.
One of these could help:
-try a different browser (I'm using Mozilla/Firefox, but IE at home seems to be fine to - but with the ads)
-if you're at work (we won't tell), maybe there's firewalls slowing stuff down
-it's possible you have a computer virus, that could manifest itself as a sluggish response time too
Hopefully none of that sounds smarmy, as I don't know what you've tried to remedy the problem. Hope it clears up soon! Have a great weekend!

I use Mozilla Firefox too and it makes a huge difference. IE is very sluggish.

Rev... So sorry that you're having blog problems today. Like Famin, whenever I have troubles on the site using IE, I switch to Mozilla Firefox and that makes all the difference.

Argh! You know what stinks? I'm not seeing the same problems you are, which makes it incredibly difficult to figure out what's going on.
It could be something as simple as clearing your cached pages and cookies. Which you can do in IE6 by going to Tools->Internet Options->Delete Cookies
Tools->Internet Options->Delete Files (be sure to check the box that says delete all offline content).
If these don't work, you (or anyone else having these problems) can Private message me or contact me at community (at) tvguide.com. Be sure to tell me what type of computer you're using and what kind of browser your using. Unfortunately, because browsers, computers and even networks aren't alike ,it's possible that some users get hit with bugs that don't affect everyone.
Finally, Rev I know you won't give up. Why? Cause you're a fan of the World Champion NY Giants. Did Eli give up when those guys from the Pats were stretching his shirt out 5 times its normal size? No. Did David Tyree give up when Rodney Harrison tried to turn him into a one-armed man? No. 
Seriously, though I know this stinks big time. Hopefully we'll be able to get this working better for you again soon.

I'll second that.
There is one tiny thing you could do about turning the pages ~ In your preferences change the amount of topics per page and also posts per page. I have mine set on the highest ~ 50 ~ I like it much better because you don't have to turn the page very often!
