Right now I'm looking like and moving around as fluently and gracefully as Frankenstein's monster.
Hi Guys!
I am feeling much better and just wanted to send a shout out to my Blog Buddies.
Sorry for disappearing so suddenly. I was scheduled for minor surgery (not gum). My one day hospital stay lasted 2 weeks. I developed an infection, high fever, which led to an ice bath (brrr) and blood clot. The hospital wouldn't release me until the clot dissolved (stubborn little bugger), which led to other problems. Did you know that you CANNOT rest in a hospital?! I feel like a pincushion.
Anyway, my leg hurts, my incision hurts, my black and blue arms hurts and my backside hurts (what?! Too much information?! *lol*) from lying on it for 3 weeks. I swear I have freezer burns on my....nevermind....
I missed a lot of TV. And Whoa Nelly - I missed my Blog Buddies a whole bunch.
**hugs**
Now, I see I have messages so I'll check back in a bit.
A whole week you promised for us remember? I also promised Famin that I would be sure to give you her love and big hugs as well from your "little sis" she won't be around because lucky girl is in Mexico this week!
First - Molly, thank you so much the video. I love that song and have sung it in Church many a day. It brought tearsto my eyes and joy in my spirit. I really appreciate it.
Second - you M*Ms promising to be good... for a week?!?!?!?!
*hahahaha*!
I can only guess the amount of mischief you two have been in during my absence.
Now Rev, you KNOW nobody could do that job like you. I think everybody else just gave up on us. LOL
I don't know if you have discovered it yet but Trish did a "miss Rev" blog last week, it's probably back on page 6 or 7 by now. I'm glad you love that vid too, it's one of my favs.
This is more like it! This place just isn't the same without you, Rev.
Hospitals. Yuck. I always thought it ironic that they tell you to get plenty of rest to help get you over a sickness, yet there's no worse place for resting than a hospital. Story time: My grandpa has always startled easily, especially when he's sleeping. My mom said they used to have to poke him with the end of a broom and jump back whenever they had to wake him up when they were kids because sometimes he'd come up swinging, thinking he was being attacked, if he was scared awake. Well, he had to spend some time in the hospital last summer. Luckily, one of my mom's cousins was a nurse there and she made every effort to make him comfortable and warned everyone about his quirks. But one nurse didn't take the warning to heart and came busting into his room early one morning with an all too bright and happy "GOOD MORNING!" Scared the poor man so badly, it's lucky he didn't have a heart attack. And boy did she get it! His mouth more than made up for his inability to come up swinging. As soon as his heart slowed down a bit so that he could speak again, he cussed her out like nobody's business and told her exactly what he thought of her and where she could go, if you know what I mean. I'm so glad you're okay, Vee.
Vee, I didn't get around to posting on the "miss Rev" blog (oops!) so I'll just say here that it is great to have you around again! I'm sorry that you (and your backside ) had to go through all that but I'm so glad you're home again. And, better yet, at your computer again!
