Worst Music Video Ever???

According to Complex mag online, UK rapper Wiley walked off the set of the video for his song, “Wearin’ My Rolex”.

Can’t say I blame him. Be sure to peep the astounding model eats chicken out of a trashcan’ sequence at 1:26.

Models eating? Songs about Rolexes? What year is this? 1995?

Wow! They're lucky I promised to be good for the next two hours. If I hadn't, I'd probably have some things to say about that lovely video.

I don't know if it's the worst video ever, but it's the worst video I've ever seen. It probably doesn't help that I didn't think that the song was that good either. I don't blame him for walking off the set.

Mannie you must have posted while I was watching it. I think we'd all forgive you quite quickly for speaking your mind about this video.

Wow. Makes me miss the '80s. Take on Me, Money for Nothing, and other videos that you actually looked forward to watching.

Wow, I wish I had seen that when I was still directing children's shows - love those fox hats! :-p

Seriously, however, that was really awful. It reminded me of a group number on American Idol only with costumes.

Well, there's two minutes out of my life that I'll never get back (not including the time it's taking me to post this comment).

Thanks David.:-p:^O

Cindy, thanks for reminding me why I've never seen a group number on AI.

Marci, you're welcome. I feel that I'm doing a public service with this one -- warning everyone to not let this happen to you.

I can only imagine the Waiting for Guffman - esq happenings that went on when this video was created.

"Eat the chicken, ok, no, don't just look at it. I know you're a model, just eat the chicken, ok."

BTW, my theory about the hats is that since the artist's name is Wiley the director planned some bizarre cartoon tribute and made the models coyotes.

Wow - my first reaction to the women was WFT?? Kudos to the guy for walking out. I couldn't even get through the whole thing. I watched until about 1:31 or so to see the model eating out of a trashcan that David referenced then I was outta there! Horrible video and bad song - YIKES!

And, yes, Mannie, Trish is absolutely right - you'd be forgiven for speaking your mind before your two hours are up!!

You guys can't trick me that easily. I only have a little over an hour left so I'll stay good.

FINALLY! I don't have to be good anymore.

I can't believe someone thought up that video in the first place, much less got the idea passed by all the appropriate channels. Apparently the only smart (if you can call him that) person in that whole corporation was Wiley. Wouldn't you think that he'd have final say as to what can and can not happen in his video? I guess it was made by a TV network boss.

I feel a little better now.

Hey David,

Did you notice that YouTube had the clip "There's NO crying in BASEBALL!" as a related video? Don't know why it's related, but I loved watching it anyway. You quoted that to me in my first blog.:-D

And about that cockamamie video - do you think those model/dancers were wearing Wiley Coyote costumes because the rapper's name was Wiley? Just wondering.;)

Kath,
I do remember the no crying in baseball reference to you. Don't know why it's being shown for this thing.

As for the Wiley thing, I totally believe those women are wearing Coyote outfits in honor of good old Wile E. Coyote, Super Genius. Those outfits are so unsexy that they could only have come from ACME, though I can't imagine the even Wile E. would direct this dreck...
