Roger Clemens will grant his first interview since being linked to steroid use to 60 Minutes in two weeks. The star Major League Baseball pitcher, named in former Senator George Mitchell's investigation into performance-enhancing drugs in the sport, will defend himself on the CBS newsmag's Jan. 6 episode. On his web site, Clemens posted a video Sunday (watch it here) in which he said, "Let me be clear: The answer is no, I did not use steroids, human growth hormone, and I've never done so."

Wow, I'm really glad Clemens issued a denial, because no one who actually used steroids would ever think to deny it. And it totally makes sense that Brian McNamee was telling the truth when he outed Andy Pettitte, and was telling the truth when he outed Brian Roberts, but he somehow decided to start lying about Clemens. I also like how all the "liars" have these incredibly detailed "lies" that they tell, complete with dates, dosages and running commentaries. But hey, a stern denial is all I need...

Rot in hell, Rog...

Add this to the list of "Really" stories.

Umm, right Rog... when your neck is wider than your cranial unit, there's no way to convincingly deny having taken steroids/HGH. The only guy with a neck wider than Clemens' is Giambi's. A batting helmet on him looks like a swimming cap.

Ditto what harliquin83 said. :)
