Yes! The View's new hosts will "finally be announced later this week," Barbara Walters said on her daytime chat show today. Bets are on Whoopi Goldberg and Sherri Shepherd, the comic actress who's been guest-hosting for months. But it's a resounding no to the rumor that Victoria Beckham will be hosting for two weeks. "It's news to us," says the show's queen bee. "She is not. We wish her well. We think she's wonderfully exciting, but that's not who we're going to have on." — Reporting by Ileane Rudolph

1. Am I the only one who wishes "the Becks" (or however you spell it) would go back to England. They've been here 2 weeks, and they're already overexposed.
2. I do wish that they'd pick actually interesting people as hosts, I'm kind of disappointed with the "obvious" choices, but considering I catch like 1 show a month, I guess I don't really care that much, at all.

Thank goodness! I'm tired of the Elisabeth Hasselbeck hour. Someone like Whoopi Goldberg would be wonderful. She's intelligent, she's not an offensive liberal (sorry Rosie, but you were a bit to overboard for me)and she's lived long enough to know a party line when she hears it. Sherri Shepherd is fabulous. I love the idea of seeing and hearing from her. I'm good with either one of these ladies. Both - okay, I'm game.

OK, I don't follow this stuff, but does this mean Elisabeth Hasselback is leaving. Yee-ha! Although I barely watch the show, listening to her spout was intolerable. Maybe she should have stayed on the island

No, It doesn't mean E.H. is leaving. I actually lke the show. I know a guy who likes the View.
I say they need to hire two new hosts one to replace Star/Rosie and one to replace Merideth. So, hire Sherri and Whoopie(spelling). They would both be great additions to the show.

Love Verena's comment "she should have stayed on the island"--sherri shepard is fine, but whoopie hasn't been funny since "Ghost". They'll never recoup the ratings from rosie.

Maybe if everyone goes on the view website or ABC's website, find the view, and writes to Barbara we can get rid of E.H.- I can't stand her. I do it once a week atleast. Goldberg & Shepherd are fine with me-I saw a show where Whoopi stood up to E.H. and she backed down...

At first I didn't think Whoopi would be willing to do the show. But after seeing her (and I know she was holding back because to the Elisabeth and Rosie thing) I think she can keep EH in her place. I agree, it seems EH has been running the show lately and it's getting on my nerves. Sherri is sweet but it bothered me that she doesn't believe in evolution, but that's a minor thing. She will be a great addition to "The View"!!

I have The View on everyday and Ive been a fan since it started. I've even persisted to stay tuned through this last year with Rosie. I think that Elisabeth is the best part of the show. She represents the real people out here in America who actually watch. She can co-host with anyone.

I bet you miss watching the PTL club with Jim Baker and Tammy Faye, How much money did you send those crooks?
Now go to church and pray for me, but remember your priest is having an affair, robbing you, etc.
