Joy Behar Responds to Rosie's View Bashing
Joy Behar by Jeff Neira/ABC
No matter how much Rosie O'Donnell badmouths The View, Joy Behar has only kind words for her former on-air ally. "I like Rosie," Behar told TV Guide at the American Women in Radio and Television's Gracie Awards in New York City June 18. "I thought that we kicked a little butt over there, the two of us, and I thought she raised the game and I was happy to have her." But what about O'Donnell's recent comments describing her former co-hosts as "heteros… [who will] stab you in the back with a high heel?" A surprised Behar replied, "I know she didn't mean me. No, not at all." —Reporting by Erin S. Medley

Listen... Rosie made those remarks at an appearance where she was performing a comedy act, where the majority of the audience was gay. She is a comedian folks. She has never "bad mouthed" Joy. She's a comedian!! Looks like Joy understands that. Twist all you want.... won't change it!

Yes, c'mon people, it's a comedy act. Truly, really has Rosie bad mouthed "The View", no. It's her comedy act. I get it. Rosie has said kinds words about "The View" since she left but NO entertainment news org has mentioned that, just sound blips and y'all know how that get's spinned!!!! Joy rocks though and she get's it!!!!

It's a shame that people expect Rosie to be more PC now than when she was on The View. She is going to have to watch every word she says because people are looking at what she says so they can 'nail her again' for her opinions even in her comedy acts.
I think I can understand why she is getting bitter toward some people. GIVE HER A BREAK! As she has said previously, she is going to be painted as the 'bad girl' and others will be the 'innocent ones'. In today's society, unfortunately, we tend to make a decision on who a person is and how they should act. Once we have that label, it is really hard to bring it around.
Good luck, Rosie. Try to think of the Joys in life (pun intended), and not as much of the aggrevation that others are trying to spew your way.

Was it supposed to be a joke? I don't know.
I'm just glad Rosie is gone and didn't win an Emmy.
The less I hear and see of her the better.

Shame on people who can't recognize a joke when they hear one!!

Yes. She's a comedian. I wonder if she was also joking when she told a colleague and breast cancer survivor that "People who lie die of cancer".
That Rosie, she's such a card.

From the sound of her comments, it could be inferred that Rosie is bigoted against heterosexual people.

Rosie destroys Rosie. This woman is her own worst enemey. She has enough money let her buy a radio or tv network and then she can say anything she wants.Remember she bankrolled a broadway show w/Boy George, that was a failure. I find most of her comments very offensive. She is not a great representation of what it is to be gay.She comes off very angry and hostile.

"Remember she bankrolled a broadway show w/Boy George, that was a failure."
And this says what about Rosie? That she tried and failed at something? Haven't we all?? It certainly doesn't have any bearing on the person she is now. Rosie is very generous with her money. She gives and gives and gives. So she speaks her own truth, loudly - so what? If you're offended, don't listen!!
"She is not a great representation of what it is to be gay."
Why? Because she is married and is raising four children? This sounds more like a homophobic comment than a statement about Rosie's character.

I'm not going to comment on the remarks ... just what a shoddy piece of "journalism" this is.
Oh, and that comment about cancer Rosie supposedly made? That has been refuted many, many, many times - it's simply UNTRUE!
It's only loud-mouthed guys with combovers that like to repeat that alleged quote that, like this online "media" source, fail to do proper research.

Agree: Joy rocks! And why is TV Guide jumping on the anti-Rosie bandwagon with this incendiary bush-wa? "No matter how much [RO] badmouths The View..."?!?! Come on, TV Guide, have a little integrity in your reporting. I expect more from you than "The Insider" propaganda.

"heteros… [who will] stab you in the back with a high heel?"
Would those of you who think Rosie is a comedian please describe in what context that comment is funny?" Comedians ARE supposed to funny, right?

Why can't Rosie keep her mouth shut? She loves to milk jobs for all their worth and then bite the hand that fed her. She is loud, obnoxious, greedy and bitter. And I'm shocked that she is getting comedy gigs - if this comment about "The View" was part of her routine, it's not even funny. And before Rosie-lovers read my comment on jump on the whole "homophobia" band wagon, I am a gay man and have no problem with her sexuality. I do have a problem with liberal loud-mouths who have no respect for people's opinions other than their own.
And more power to Joy. She continues to show class and respect by staying out of this childish drama and laughing off Rosie's ramblings.
