Heroes Exclusive: First Look at Jim Lee's Graphic-novel Cover

Previously we've shown you the first of two versions of the Heroes graphic-novel cover. Now TVGuide.com has your exclusive first look at the other one. (Click here for a larger version.) This cover was drawn by Jim Lee, editorial director of WildStorm, the DC Comics imprint that is publishing the graphic novel.

The Heroes graphic novel, which goes on sale Nov. 7, collects the first 34 chapters that originally appeared at NBC.com.

Cool, but not his best work. See the recent All-Star Batman and Robin. Alex Ross' cover is stunning. Jim Lee's work is usually not this flat. Still better than most though. Would have rather seen a Tim Sale version (the artist who actually paints Isaac's paintings).

While some of the artwork looks great in this cover, some of it is just plain confusing. Is the woman on the top left supposed to be Niki?? If so, it looks nothing like Ali Larter. What about the people to the right and left of DL & Micah... is that Eden, Candice or someone else on the left?? And on the right it looks like Ted and Ando, or is is Isaac and Ando?? Lastly, I think they made Claire a little too well endowed, if you know what I mean. Is she a cheerleader or a Playboy bunny?

Nice concept overall, but a little too vague in some areas.

Not Jim Lee's best, in my opinion. (I believe that's supposed to be Sylar in the middle.)

I'm going to shell out for Alex Ross' cover... it makes the characters look more iconic (as Ross' art usually does).

November 7 can't come fast enough!

I'm not going to pay for something I've already downloaded, legally, for free. I would shell out for an original story. Maybe something cannon yet has nothing to do with the overall arc of the show.

Who would've thought I'd prefer the ALex Ross cover..I would never have attributed THIS cover to Jim Lee.
