Farscape Stars Browder and Black Keeping Busy

Whether or not Farscape stars Ben Browder and Claudia Black reprise their roles on the upcoming Scifi.com webisodes, the actors have plenty of other projects to keep them busy.

Browder is writing and starring in Going Homer, Sci Fi Channel's just-announced six-hour miniseries. He’ll play the father of a 12-year-old boy who sees Greek and Roman gods walking among us. The actor/writer and his writing partner, Farscape’s Andrew Prowse, have also sold a movie script, Black Mountain, to MGM. In the flick, Browder will get his action hero on, playing a investigator trying to solve horrific murders in a small town. We hear shooting could start this fall.

As for Black, she had to bow out of a role on the new NBC cop drama Life, in which she would have played star Damian Lewis’ former wife, because of a scheduling conflict. The Australian actress is due to give birth to her second baby in November. Life producer Rand Ravich says he hopes to find a role for her in the show later in the season. If Life has a long one, that is. — Reporting by Ileane Rudolph

These people deserve work because they are so good. I loved Farscape and was said to see Bonnie Hammer cancel it. Sure we got a wrap up movie but it's life was still cut short.
I look forward to seeing Ben and Claudia in more and hope they will be in the web series. It wouldn't be the same without them.

I miss seeing Browder in Farscape and SG1, and I'm looking forward to these future projects. He deserves to be on the big screen though.

Damn shame Claudia Black is becoming a damn baby factory. She is going to have less and less time to work. It's interesting that TVG has a kangaroo in the ad. Black is going to have a (after the birth) kangaroo pouch before you know it.

Geez, John, 2 kids does not a baby factory make. The unfortunate part is that women in any industry are often forced to choose between career and family, whereas men rarely face that choice.

No one's going to comment on Ben's physique if he chooses to add to his family; your remark is the just the kind of sexism that actresses, and women in general, face every day.

I'm sorry that we're not going to see Claudia on "Life" anytime soon--she's an excellent actress and a welcome addition to any show.

Thanks for the update, TV Guide, and the front page coverage.

This is fantastic news to hear about Ben's mini-series and his action flick. And great news that Claudia is adding to her family and has people WAITING for her to come back after maternity leave to a job.

I keep hearing that the Farscape episodes are not going to be full hour episodes, but mini episodes - which could mean 5-10 minutes or longer I guess. Anyone hear about the length of these 10 web episodes or casting?

I also read somewhere that Christopher Judge had written a pilot for him and Michael Shanks that MGM had greenlighted, but I have not seen anything further. The story involved Christopher as the archangel Gabriel coming to earth to find and recover the depressed and dejected archangel Michael (played by Shanks.)

Does anyone know what those two guys are up to?

John Stone - I feel sorry for any woman in your life if this is how you feel about women. Yuck.....

I hope they can find a place for Claudia Black in Life. I've long been a fan of Damian Lewis and think the two of them would be terrific, no matter how they are paired.
