You're Rehired! The Apprentice Returns to NBC

And you thought Jericho's renewal was nutty. Plucking the reality competition out of its own ashes, NBC is bringing back Donald Trump's The Apprentice for at least one more season, sources tell Reuters, saying that the Peacock plans to announce the somewhat unexpected renewal on July 16 at the Television Critics Association press tour.

Though there's no official word from NBC, one person familiar with the talks tells Reuters The Apprentice would return for two more years, while another insider says the plan is to bring the show back for a seventh season with an option to renew for an eighth.

Wow...Ben Silverman is just filling me with confidence. Really if this guy expects to keep any of NBC’s current audience he should have a press conference and try to explain what the hell he’s thinking with some of these decisions. It certainly seems like Kevin Riley’s dedication to quality got tossed out the window.

Here, I found the link. http://community.tvguide.com/blog-entry/TVGuide-News-Blog/Tv-Guide-News/Apprentices-Trump-Calls/800015578 In his own words, he says that NBC wanted to do another (which was a bald-faced lie, as they failed to add it to their fall sched), but that he just didn't have the time.

So I guess my question is, who will do the Apprentice now that the Donald's gone on record as saying that he won't?

Maybe we can combine parts of Jericho with The Apprentice. Send a bunch of money-grubbing people to a nuclear wasteland and see if anybody gives a damn about how much money you can make! At least Trump's comb-over will fit. It has always looked to me like he has been exposed to too much radiation!

I hope they show The Apprentice every night of the week. That would be AWESOME!!!!! Maybe it'll be Donald, Rosie and Paris on the board. That would be one AMAZING show!!!!!

Anything The Donald has said in one of his numerous interviews with his buddy, Larry King, has to be true, doesn't it? I mean WHO would lie to Larry King?!"> P.S. Anyone else pissed that The Sharper Image was closed on the fourth? How are we supposed to get our Trump Steaks?!!!!!!!!!
