Bradley Whitford and Neve Campbell (Party of Five) are set to front Burn Up, a four-hour global-warming thriller being shopped around to the networks, says Variety.... Showtime has given a pilot order to Possible Side Effects, a drama about a family that runs a pharmaceutical company, says the Reporter. Tim Robbins wrote and directed the pilot and will exec-produce the series, but will not star in it.... Versus will premiere Sports Unfiltered with Dennis Miller on Nov. 6, to air Tuesdays at 10 pm/ET.... Lewis Black has been tapped to moderate The Root of All Evil, a Comedy Central series that will "put pop culture on trial" (whatever that means).

I like Lewis Black but I don't think I can handle 30 minutes of him yelling about Britney Spears. His little cameos on Daily Show are enough for me. And when is this Global Warning trend in Hollywood gonna end? Not to say its not an issue we're facing but its the cause of the moment. What happened to AIDS in Africa? Al Gore makes 1 documentary and all of a sudden that's not a problem anymore!

When I saw the title for this, I thought that we were getting some advanced casting notice for the next season of "Burn Notice". Alas, it is just another made-for-tv "disaster" craptacular that will distort any semblence of logic, sense, and physical law in order to barely come in 4th place in the ratings that night.

I'm guessing the entire world heats up by about 30 degrees over the course of a week, or something equally as preposterous.
