Lest anyone get too comfy with the current, finally finalized lineup of ladies who gab... The View's increasingly pregnant cohost, Elisabeth Hasselbeck, will set off on maternity leave Nov. 8 or 9, a spokesperson tells the Associated Press.

In Hasselbeck's absence, Rosie will kvell repeatedly via haiku various celebrity guest cohosts will fill in for her.

I hate to say it but this isn't really news. I knew she was going to go on Maternity Leave the beginning of November, since she's due around mid-November. Not surprising either is celeb guest co-hosts for a few months. ;)

You should have stopped at '...this isn't really news'. Good riddance and hopefully she'll stay in Arizona and we'll never have to hear from her again.

As bad as Elizajerk is, and she is bad, Sherri Shepherd is worse.

In a way I hope she would leave and move over to Fox. It is not necessarily her views. I just find her unlikable. I am sure there are other conservatives that would want the job. Oh well.

Noted. From here on I'll email my copy to you for clearance/newsworthiness before I post it, 'K? ;\

Shari should be on a "Jesus" show. I'm so tired of her "Christian" quotes. Who is she trying to convince - herself or others. She may be good at standup, but she leaves a lot to be desired as a co-host. She brings nothing to the table. I wish EH the best of everything and maybe she will stay home with the baby and we'll all be happy.

I think it's impressive that TPTB had Elisabeth conceive in time to have the baby during sweeps. I'm surprised the blessed event won't be filmed for "A Very Special View". Blech! No pun intended! :-p

If Elisabeth Hasselbeck makes sense then what is the world coming to? She may not fit everyone's idea of "loud and obnoxious" but she sure fits mine.

On the other hand, I think Sherri is almost as big a dope as EH BUT I will say that the panel (especially without Barbera) is more watchable in its present configuration than it has ever been except in those last few fevered weeks with Rosie and EH going at each other's throats. Whoopi is a better mnoderator than I thought she would be. I always like Joy and even though Shepherd, is even more freakishly weird than EH, she's actually funny much of the time.

I thought I might enjoy seeing Elisabeth go but I've had so much fun hating her I'm not so sure if I'd still want her out of there. She definitely does nothing for the conservative cause though. There has to be someone smarter and more likeable out there who could do the job.

Elisabeth is always preaching about the perfect mother and she is always right so I suggest she practice what she preaches. Stay home and raise her own brats (who still suck a pacifier), raise them in her own narrow minded ways and GUARANTEE herself she'll NEVER have a rebellious teenager and NEVER have a child who would DARE do ANYTHING "MOMMY DEAREST' has preached different. GOOD LUCK TO SOMEONE WHO ONLY SEE'S THE WORLD 'HER WAY'.

What would a View story be without MWM taking another gratuitous swipe at Rosie O'Donnell? It's beyond tiresome at this point.

Anyone who saw Elisabeth on Survivor: the Australian Outback would have seen a lovely, gracious young woman who was warm, helpful, cheerful, just perfect. Ask her "adopted father" Rodger what he thinks of her. She is a very beautiful person and does NOT deserve the nasty comments so many of you have posted. Especially with her husband out of work! She is my all-time favorite Survivor. Our insurance agent was a friend & a softball teammate of hers at Boston College. She said Elisabeth was a very sweet girl when she knew her there. SO LAY OFF ELISABETH!

Can someone take out a map and show me to where I took a swipe at Rosie? Is suggesting that she would comment in her blog on Hasselbeck's absence any kind of swipe?

Funny how people sometimes see what they want to see....

Sorry Matt, I don't know what's wrong with these people but I didn't see any swipe against Rosie. Even if you did, who cares? Folks can make any jab they want against Elizabeth but not Rosie. Ah, to live in a world were only what you think matters.

I'm no conservative and hardly a bleeding heart, I'm in the middle because both of those groups are extremists. I don't agree with Elizabeth most of the time, but I'll be horn swauggled if I wouldn't let the woman have her "VIEW".
