The View to Do Some Idol Worship in Vegas

The ladies of The View are taking their talkfest on the road this summer, broadcasting their show live (and in HD) from Sin City June 23-27.

In addition to the special location, Barbara and Co. have invited some serious talent to their Vegas party, including Amercian Idol winner David Cook and runner-up David Archuleta. The boys will appear and perform on June 24.

Other stars making the trek to the desert include Jimmy Kimmel and Rihanna (June 23), Jessica Simpson (performing from her new album on June 25), Heidi Montag (thankfully not performing on June 26) and Bette Midler (June 27). The question is, with all the chatting these women like to do, will what happens in Vegas stay there? — Adam Bryant

I can't believe Jimmy Kimmel is doing The View! That seems to be a seismic shift for both him and the show! I hope he gets off a few Star and Rosie jokes (much as I love Rosie, I love comedy more)!

Couldn't they line up somebody Debbie Matenopoulos hates, too???

I hope Whoopi and Joy take that dumb bitch Heidi to task about the stupid decisions she makes in her life and why she thinks she should be famous in the first place. Seriously, why would the View lower itself to have her on? There used to be, at least, some legitimacy to The View, but I guess, with guests like Heidi Montag, there is none left. This chick is a talentless publicity hound and The View is only adding fuel to the fire.

If you look at everyone else on the list, they are famous because they possess a skill or talent, even Chestica Simpson, to a degree. What the hell is Heidi's skill or talent, except whoring herself out to the media for money.

I am looking forward to see David Cook on with the ladies from the View. Since they are all cougars I will be interested to see how much flirting will be going on. (it's OK ladies we are all drooling over him!)
