Tyra, Top Model to Catwalk the Streets of NYC?
Telepictures is having "serious conversations" about relocating Tyra Banks' two-year-old talker, and perhaps subsequently America's Next Top Model, to Manhattan, Variety reports. Sources tell the trade the motive behind the move is to bring a different energy — and guest pool — to Banks' daytime show, which has already been reupped for third and fourth seasons. As for ANTM making camp here, yeah, just what we need, more crazy.

ANTM used to be in Manhattan, did it not? I'm almost positive the first season was there.

Can't imagine how moving ANTM would make the slightest difference: any excitement the show has usually comes from within, not without. As a viewer from Day 1, I have to repeat myself and say that the only thing they can do to truly improve the show [and therefore it's ratings], if that is what's on their minds [and of course it is!], would be for the judges to develop some consistency between one week and the next! Last cycle they gave such differing advice to each girl each week that no one could possibly have gained anything from it, with perhaps the exception of the Russian girl, Natasha, who had the most uncanny ability to turn negativism into positivism that I've ever seen! I'm still in awe of that particular ability!
On the other hand, what does winning ANTM really do for a girl in the fashion world? Except for Eva Pigford; who, incidentally, just fired her "prize win" of Benny Medina as her agent/manager AND that lady of fierceness herself, Tyra; has anyone ever really seen or heard of any of the others? Not I!
