TV's Mr. & Mrs. Smith Finds Its "Angelina"
Well, half of the burning question has been answered: Sources tell TVGuide.com that Jordana Brewster (The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning, The Fast and the Furious, what-have-you) has been tapped to fill Angelina Jolie's tattoos shoes, playing Jane in ABC's Mr. & Mrs. Smith pilot, based on the 2005 film. No word yet on Mr. Pitt's successor, and while I feel that Las Vegas' Josh Duhamel would kill in the role (no pun intended), I now have a feeling we might get, like, Ashton Kutcher.

I said it before, and I'll say it again...DEAN CAIN! He'd be perfect.

Interesting. There was just an article at The Hollywood Reporter about which actors and actresses are hot this pilot season. She was at the top of the list. If they continue to be right, I wouldn't be suprised to see either Gabriel Macht or Simon Bakker pop us as Mr. Smith.

Since the project was announced, I have had Carla Gugino in my head as Mrs. Smith.

Oooh, I do love me some Carla. But even though the series picks up six months after the movie, I guess they wanted to go "younger."

Well if they'd gone with Carla Gugino they also would have had to have gone with Antonio Banderas. Because the entire plot for Mr. & Mrs. Smith was basically ripped off from their characters' backstory in Spy Kids.

The age difference between Jordana Brewster and Simon Baker is actual less than the age difference between Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie.
But I don't know if Simon Baker will want to go from "Smith" to "Mr. & Mrs. Smith".

Jordana Brewster - seriously. Eh, I wasn't all that into the idea of Mr. & Mrs. Smith for tv anyway. Now I def. won't be watching. Carla Gugino would have been great, especially with Simon Bakker (yummy) I hate when hollywood thinks everything has to have "younger" characters.

Jordana Brewster v. Carla Gugino? Please. Carla wins hands down. Why are they going younger? Carla would be perfect in the role. With Simon Baker? Wow, that might give these two a show that could survive.
Jordana Brewster is too young and not that great of an actress to be headlining anything yet. I mean she has only been in box office garbage. It will hurt for ratings with her as the female lead. They should have looked harder.

I vote for Gabriel Macht. I love him! He was terrific in American Outlaws, The Recruit, Bad Company, and in all his other films. I can't wait to see him in Because I Said So.

Carla Gugino would have been better but if they are going to go with Jordana Brewster (which I would support just for the opportunity to stunt cast Demi Moore as her hardass spy mommy), then I vote for Paul Walker or Chris Evans to be her Mr. Josh Duhamel would be a great choice as well but I have no clue how committed he is to Las Vegas.

Have any of you seen D.E.B.S? Jordana was in that one. It's one of my favorite movies. It's so out there and is a spy movie like you've never seen. It's awesome.
And please, NO PAUL WALKER!! That guy is one of the worst "actors" I have ever seen!! Did you see Timeline?!?! That movie was awful! And not just because it veered so much from the book, but because paul walker is terrible!

I saw DEBS. Jordana and Paul are about equal in terms of acting ability. Never saw Timeline but Paul was good in Eight Below, Varsity Blues and Flags of our Fathers.
