Noah Wyle will be back on TNT this winter in the latest high-adventure installment of the successful Librarian franchise, The Librarian: The Curse of the Judas Chalice.

Other returning cast members Bob Newhart and Jane Curtin join newcomers Bruce Davison (X-Men, Knight Rider) and Stana Katic (Heroes) in a new conspiracy that leads Wyle to New Orleans to protect the Judas Chalice from falling into the hands of notorious vampire Prince Vlad Dracul.

The first installment in the series became the No. 1-ranked movie on ad-supported cable in 2004, and the sequel placed among the top five cable movie telecasts of 2006. Production began in New Orleans earlier this week, but no firm premiere date has been set. — Adam Bryant

Well, as long as it isn't as bad as part two, I'd like to see more or even a series.

Part one was fun. Part two was ridiculous with the whole plot about his dad.

And hopefully they will put a little more budget into the green screening.

My thoughts exactly, achyfakey. I really enjoyed the first one, but the second was not very good, although I still liked parts of it. One thing I do hate, though, is when a movie ends with a romantic pairing, and in the next, half of the couple is neither seen nor mentioned--I was hoping that Sonya Walger was going to return, too, but no. Did they even explain why she wasn't back?

Anyway, I'll be watching for the next one. Noah Wyle, Bob Newhart and Jane Curtin can help overcome a decent share of plot silliness, although I'm hoping that they won't have to.

I'm excited. I loved the first one. The second one was alright. Not the greatest, but I enjoyed it anyway. I adore Noah Wyle as the Librarian!

Yay!! I was just thinking about The Librarian movie the other day, wishing there would be another one. It's great to have a fun, action-filled movie on TV that everyone in the family can enjoy. Like others, I hope it's better than the 2nd one, but I'm sure it'll be good. I guess we can't expect to see Sonya in this movie, as she's busy trying to find Desmond on "Lost." :-p

I think the second one was better than the first one. Frakes was a better director, the photography was really good and I like the fact they went in too Flynn's past.
And I can't wait for the third one. Noah and Bob were (are) great :)

My wife really enjoyed the first one but felt as I did that the second won was a little silly and not as much fun. The girl was a lot more interesting in the first one than the second one. Anyway we probably will watch the third.
