Adam Shankman, the director and choreographer of the upcoming Hairspray movie musical, will serve as a guest judge on this Wednesday's So You Think You Can Dance. In addition to offering his extremely qualified two cents, Shankman will choreograph a group routine set to "You Can't Stop the Beat" from Hairspray, to be performed during Thursday’s results show.

Also on Thursday, as the judges prepare to send two more dancers home, Hilary Duff will perform "Stranger" from her latest album, Dignity, named after the one thing she still has that most of her pop-tart peers do not.

Let's just keep her away from:

• hairclippers
• umbrellas
• Lindsay
• and Fedora-wearing, highly virile slacker boys.

Wow..that's so..umm...err..."classy." Not to pick on Hillary specifically, because she has kept her dignity more than most of her peers, but it makes me sad to see so many young woman today promote themselves solely on the basis of being a sexual object. Makes me miss Pink and "Stupid Girls."

I have a niece who is eleven and is very influenced by Hillary and others like her and when I think of the message they send young girls - your beauty = your value, it makes me a little frustrated.

But like the old saying goes, "Sex sells." I guess it just depends on if you want to be "sold."

I watched cheaper by the dozen 2 a couple of weekends ago, and hilary duff looks VERY unhealthy. But maybe it's just genetics becauseshe looks like her sister. Either it runs in the family, or they are not eating.

Leah, some people are just naturally blessed. I have a son who is 6-feet 3-inches and tries to keep him weight UP to 160 pounds. He's a rail. Maybe the Duff sisters are just lucky like that.

I weigh around 100. My mom was 98 lbs when she married my dad and she was 23 then.

I don't look unhealthy though. My cheeks aren't caved in and you can't see all my bones. You can on hilary.

Hey Matt -

You also forgot to mention that as long as Hilary Duff keeps remembering to wear undies (and stay away from Joel Madden), she'll be OK!

But will Hilary Duff lip sync? I have yet to see a "performance" where she does not lip sync (I guess when your entire vocal range consists of 5 notes - you need lots of help from the studio.

Ooh, I can't wait for the group routine for "You Can't Stop The Beat." That's going to be really really fun.
