Taye Diggs' Crazy Day to Conclude on ABC.com
Was ABC programming guru Stephen McPherson reading your comments in this blog over the weekend? Variety is reporting that Day Break, pulled from the network's schedule effective immediately, will finish up its 13-episode run on ABC.com.
ABC has also specified that Day Break will be replaced for the next two Wednesdays not just by mere sitcom repeats but by holiday-themed sitcom repeats... of According to Jim and George Lopez. (Please. Stop. Specifying.) Starting Jan. 3, In Case of Emergency and Knights of Prosperity debut and will fill the 9 pm hour. Show Me the Money, meanwhile, is being replaced Tuesdays at 8 with new and old eppys of America's Funniest Home Videos.
In noncringe-worthy programming news, ABC is encoring Brothers & Sisters Fridays at 9, beginning Jan. 12.

Well hopefully the storyline will actually be wrapped up after 13 episodes.
I finally got around to watching the remaining Vanished episodes this weekend and Fox blatantly lied. The storylines weren't resolved AT ALL. I hope someone takes Fox to task for this at the next Press Tour. I mean, I don't mind them dumping their remaining episodes online when the show isn't finding an audience, but don't dupe viewers into thinking they'll get closure when they won't.

Well, the plan all along was for Day Break to resolve Hopper's bad day in the season finale, Episode 13. Season 2 was going to trap him another looping crisis.

somethingreal81 - I wholeheartedly agree with both of your points for Daybreak and about Vanished ...
From what I remember reading about Daybreak, the idea was to always only do 13 episodes so the story could wrap up and then do another 13 episodes where Hopper has another repeating day to solve another mystery.
Daybreak is a good show - where is the audience????

It's obvious those of us that watch Day Break dont have ratings boxes. Too bad was a good show.

this is SO frustrating! why even bother making new shows? especially if they're going to pull them mid-run for reruns of shows i wouldn't even think of watching when they were still on?! this really sucks for people who can't watch tv online..it's tv, it's not supposed to be on your computer! networks SUCK, especially ABC for totally blowing it with The Nine and now Daybreak.

I'm sad that Daybreak didn't find an audience, but delighted that it's going to continue online. Whew.
First Kidnapped, now Daybreak? Who knew I'd be spending so much time in front of my computer watching tv shows?
(At least now I have the luxury of watching when it's convenient.)

Taye Diggs is not an action star...he's a romantic leading man. With that said, put this man on Grey's Anatomy...please!

I'll be happy to see more Brothers & Sisters...I really wish that ABC would put the episodes online until the DVD comes out (and hopefully that is soon after the season ends)

Well, as long as they're replacing them with "holiday-themed" repeats of mediocre sitcoms, then I guess it's OK.
Given that NO ONE else has original programming this week, wouldn't this have been a perfect time for it to gain a little bit of an audience bump? Then again, with people losing faith that networks will let a serial play out (I wonder why), they probably won't jump on the bandwagon now.
Look for a major drop-off in the number of new serials next season; I think the trend (and I liked this trend) may have officially passed.

I do have to say Thank you to ABC for listening. Yes I wish us Daybreak fans had a rating box too! And YES to Taye on Grey's!!!! And give me a break...holiday themed repeats of other shows are better then an original show that obviously has devoted followers they are crazy about the show! It would be perfect to help Daybreak find an audience this week! I looked ahead at shows for the week and saw nothing. I'll be cross stitching and watching my DVD's this week. I hate repeats unless I love the show. Oh well....I'll take Daybreak online if I have to but boy are they missing an opportunity. You know if they just asked 'us' what our suggestion would be they might find that they keep some of these new great shows they are putting out instead of pissing people off. Huh...what a concept!

You know in the long run this is going to seriously hurt the networks...
First of all everyone does not have high speed internet connections and flat LCD screens to watch these shows online.
Secondly, many of these programmers need to be fired for airing all of this long arc series together, PS: what ever happened to Friday and Saturday night TV?
Or airing re-runs?
Or airing repeats on their sister stations like Sci-Fi and Bravo?
It'll be a long time before I commit to another series after what happened to The Nine, Smith, Kidnapped and Day Break!

Are there any more episodes of the Nine that we haven't seen? Will they be showing up online anytime soon?

I think a moment of silence for the ambitious serialized drama may be in order....
