SVU Boss: "Olivia Benson Finally Has a Boyfriend"

That's the word from Law & Order: SVU executive producer Neal Baer, announcing the casting of Bill Pullman (Independence Day) as the new (and lucky!) guy in Benson's life. According to People, Pullman's character, Kurt Moss, is the editor of a fictional New York City newspaper, and first will be seen in the April 22 episode, the procedural's second post-strike outing. Mariska Hargitay is sure to be pleased. As she shared with TV Guide just last week, "I've been begging Neal for five years to give me a boyfriend!" Leave a Comment

I love Bill Pullman. He usually plays dorky characters, though, which I can't see Olivia dating. I can't wait to see him.

I like Bill Pullman fine, but I was hoping that Fed, played by Vince Spano would end up being a love interest for Olivia. Sigh... ~Sangeeta

I like Bill Pullman, but I was hoping for someone a little younger and hotter to have some sexy love scenes and maybe make a Benson Baby. Her real life husband played an attorney on SVU for a few episodes. They should have had him do it. Or Blair Underwood, that would have been HOT!!! I agree the FBI agent would have been good.
I just think Bill Pullman is a little too old and too nice to pull off the sexy vibe that I had hoped for her to get in a guy.

How long before he is, in one of those only-on-TV moments, involved in one of the SVU investigations? He'll be accused of rape or something at some point and Olivia and the team must work diligently to clear his name even though some of the team will believe he is guilty.

I adore Bill Pullman, but seriously, that is a horrendous photo of him. I'll be interested to see if he brings a some sorely needed sizzle to SVU.

While Bill Pullman is an excellent actor - come on - Mariska is a beautiful woman who (after waiting so very long) definitely deserved someone younger and HOT! Sizzle hot! Sorry- Bill - but this is a big disappontment.
