Men Like Sexy Women, and More Spike TV/TVGuide.com Poll Results

A new national study by Spike TV and TVGuide.com reveals, among other things, why fellas put up with those Dancing stars, the Housewife they're desperate to hook up with, and the CSI most likely to catch their eye. Specifically, the poll of 800 men ages 18 to 49 (conducted by Latitude Research) found that:
• 44 percent of men watch Dancing with the Stars for (are you sitting down?) the hot female dancers.
• Gaby is the hottest Desperate Housewife — and by a large margin, netting 56 percent of the vote to second-placer Susan's 12 percent.
• The crime scene investiagtor they'd most welcome an office romance with is Miami's Calleigh (37 percent), though CSI's Catherine is a very close second with 34 percent. NY's Stella drew a respectable 27 percent of the vote.
• 53 percent of the respondents would brave Lost's wacky island just to be stranded with Kate. Similarly, 44 percent would get sick on purpose if it meant getting checked out by Grey's Anatomy's Izzie.
But it's not all about da sexy women, folks. The survey also revealed:
• The Heroes power that men most covet is Hiro's ability to time-travel (35 percent). Matt's knack for hearing thoughts is wanted by 21 percent, while only 15 percent of fellas ache to fly like Nathan.
• Prison Break's Michael is smart and tough, but 24's Jack Bauer (by a 67 to 33 percent vote) is the one whose bad side men most want to avoid.
Lastly, something to make the ladies go, "Awww." A full 75 percent of men say that spending quality time with their honey plays an "important" role in choosing what TV to watch, while 42 percent go so far as to say it plays a "very important" role. Just don't wig out when your guy mutters, "Let's tango, Julianne" in his sleep.

I watch DWTStars because everyone looks like they are having so much fun! They look like kids at summer camp. While the dancing is very entertaining, I could care less about the winner. And since no guy would call in and vote, don't expect a female winner again.
That said, GO KRISTI! My favorite California girl.

As far as DWTS, I don't think the guys who watch need to call in and vote for a celeb when the women pros are all gorgeous and have better bodies in the first place.
But while Julianne is a cute girl, not sure why she seems to get all the hottie cred. Edyta, Anna, Cheryl and the rest have it all over her in just about every respect IMO. Let Julianne take her perky self over to her country music career and be done with it.

As a man, I have to say I disagree with most of this. I would choose Juliet over Kate, I would be more afraid of Michael Scofield, and there's no way I would watch Dancing With The Stars(or anything else for that matter) just to look at hot women. There are plenty of shows with hot women and good writing(Juliet on LOST, for example).

Hmm. Pretty accurate for me. I only watched DWTS once, when Stacy Kiebler was on it, and I haven't watched since then.
I wouldn't mind getting LOST with Juliette, but Kate definitely would be the best. Actually, Claire wouldn't be bad either, assuming Aaron wasn't there (still remembering a scene with Claire's actress from Roswell...wow).
And Jack Bauer would so kick Michael Scoffield's butt. I haven't seen Prison Break yet, but ain't nobody alive that can beat Jack Bauer. Chuck Norris jokes have been replaced with Jack Bauer jokes.

I don't necessarily choose shows because there are beautiful women, but I certainly enjoy it when shows do feature beautiful women. Grey's Anatomy, Smallville, Friday Night Lights, ER, Lost are among the ones that are made better by their presence

I totally despise studies,, opinions, blogs and such like this.
To start 800 people for the study ?
hah hah, yeah good one, that will tell how and why the other how many millions of us MEN ? Watch certain shows.
As you can see by ALOT of the posts here.
Look at the title, it says,
"Men like sexy women".
I say, You're kidding ?
How about this, Daning with the stars has sexy women ? looking at the percentile, someones on crack.
Yes there are ABSOLUTELY a few,
but also there is definitely more to that show, so it's not a great show, it's not bad, and even better when compared to what's on at the same time and day.
How about Deal Or No Deal ?
The ladies ? well duh, hell yes.
but Howie jesus that show is great.
He is funny even doing a game show,
and the contestants are either so rediculously greedy, and or dumb it's funny as hell to watch them make the choices they do and lose.
AND Lost ? what a boring show,
the ladies are okay at best, and if not for them, that show like it's viewers are, would be lost.
