Spice Girl, Idol Dressed Down by Mr. Blackwell

Victoria Beckham — aka the Spice Girl whose calling card ostensibly is her façionable-ness — this year "tops" Mr. Blackwell's list of worst-dressed women. As the king of sartorial snark puts it, "In one skinny-mini monstrosity after another, pouty [Beckham] can really wreck 'em." Rounding out the top five are Amy "I Am Not Janice from Friends" Winehouse (whose look is described as a "'50s car-hop horror"), Mary-Kate Olsen ("a tattered toothpick in a hurricane"), Fergie and Kelly Clarkson ("Her... voice soars above the rest, but those belly-baring bombs are hellish at best"). Slots 5 through 10 go to Eva Green, Avril, Jessica Simpson, LaLo and Alison Arngrim (finally, Nellie Olsen gets hers!). See 'em all in our new photo gallery!
Britney was saved from derision, says Mr. B, because "her personal life is in such upheaval." In other words: free pass for flashing her... hoodies!
Among those earning a thumbs-up from Blackwell: Reese, Beyoncé, Angelina, Nicole, Katie and Katherine Heigl.

It amazes me that this list still gets news coverage (and I mean in general, not just here)!
I mean, here you have a guy who is famous for doing something ONCE a year!
On top of that, he's 85 years old and practically on a ventilator! Are we really supposed to believe that he still has his finger on the pulse of the fashion industry?
Or that he has any idea who Amy Winehouse is? (By the way, loved the Janice from Friends comparison!)
And what on God's green earth is Alison Arngrim doing on ANY list in 2008?!? What about Jan Smithers from WKRP in Cincinnati -- where does SHE rate?

Vic wears things that I wouldn't wear, but she makes them work. I think there are a lot more people out there who are worst dressed than Vic.

How could anyone expect Britney to be on either list. She doesn't wear clothes enough to tell. Just last week she was on a hotel balcony with her photog pal and she had nothing on below the waist. Then, when the cops helped her with her car, she had her top pulled down to her waist and they made her put on a jacket to cover herself. We know she doesn't wear undies.

I wasn't dissing her! I loved Jan Smithers!
And, for that matter, I don't have anything against Alison Arngrim -- I'm just wondering what she's doing on a list in 2008!
Surely there are other '70s stars that are worse dressers than Arngrim! I mean, has anyone seen Erin Moran lately? Yeesh!
