About That Other Spears: Zoey 101 Is Not Canceled
Jamie Lynn Spears by Jeff Vespa/ WireImage.com
Has 16-year-old Jamie Lynn Spears' pregnancy prompted Nickelodeon to pull any remaining new episodes of Zoey 101, which was to resume in February? That was the rumor that made rounds Thursday in the wake of a British tabloid's purely speculative article. But a Nick spokesperson assures TVGuide.com that Zoey is safe. "The reports are false," the rep tells us. "The show will air as scheduled."
Nick, though, is saying Goodbye Zoey... with a TV-movie airing tonight at 8 pm/ET.

Well rumor was that she was going -- so what will it be called then? Maybe they should just rename it and get some other girl in there. They definitely do not need her on the show. She is not a role model I want my child to see or watch. I think the show needs another talented actress to step up and in her spot and then maybe the show could somewhat go on, but I think since this happened with her being pregnant that has ruined the whole show and they need to just pull it and move on.

Of course they didn't cancel it. The fourth and already final season was already shot. Why cancel something that is already done. It would have not only been a waste of time and money for Nick, but unfair to the other actors on the show who have done nothing to deserve their hard work be thrown away.

Networks cancel shows all the time. It doesn't matter if they are already done. Fact, if it's making money it stays, if not, it's gone. I bet a lot of people didn't even know about the show until she got pregnant.

I think that zoey 101 should be cancelled, it is horrable that they would keep it on and put the parents of these children in the uncomfortable position of exlaining 1st of all underage sex, pregnancy, STD's and all of the thinds that 6-12 year olds don't need to know about...PLEASE cancelle Zoey 101 and protect our children. We protect other races by pulling shows and people off the air yet they will not pull zoey 101 off the air why is that. Our children need to be procted...

Heres what I dont get. Nick wanted to question pulling her show because of the teenage pregancy issue yet they run the show "South of Nowhere" that shows teenage girls kissing each other. Gee would you rather your child watch a bunch of lesbian little girls? What is this world coming to? Id rather my child watch Jamie Lynn continue her career knowing she is at least accepting responsibility for her situation by keeping and raising her baby then promoting gay rights. Neither are right but really..what teen role model can you name that is the ideal role model for your child? Can u?

What happened to my post? Anyway...
MrSmack, you should be talking to your kids about sex anyway. If you don't, they'll just learn about it from their friends. Then they'll be like the above poster's son and think that you need to get married in order to get pregnant.
Idontknow2, what's wrong with two girls kissing? If two girls like each other then they should be able to express their affection for each other. It's not like they're having sex or anything.

"Zoey 101 Is Not Canceled" Umm, yes, it is... the network just doesn't know it yet. Best thing to come out of that show... the writer who provided Kathy Griffin with her award speech.

Nickelodeon does not air South of Nowhere, The N does. The N is a station aimed at older teenagers and not 6-12 year olds. And congratulations to all of you parent of the year candidates who are up in arms because somebody who is not related to you and has nothing to do with you except she is a actress on a TV show is pregnant. If you were doing your jobs in the first place your kids wouldn't find out about the pregnancy. You cannot tell that she is pregnant on the show so if they find out it means that you are allowing your young kids to watch television, visit websites, or read publications that are not age appropriate. I hope you all enjoy raising the the future pregnant teens of the world because you are all too scared to talk to your kids about things like safe sex and how to not get yourself in the exact situation that you are up in arms about now. Here's a crazy idea. Instead of worrying so much about what the kids are watching get your kids to crack a book. There is a reason why America's kids are behind other nations in educational fields. Turn off the tube, peel your's and their butts off of the couch and help them with their homework.

My little sister watches this show, and she likes it and everything, but I'm wondering how this will affect kids her age. I mean, they watch this Goodbye Zoey episode and wonder, "Why is she going?", and then they flip through the channels and all of a sudden they're on Showbiz Tonight and hear she's pregnant. Jamie Lyn doesn't exactly have the best role model of a sister (obviously), but she's also a role model to others. Little kids might start to think it's okay to have underage sex, and then have sexual relationships when they're older and in high school or even middle school.

Canceling because she is pregnant is stupid. It wouldn't be right to all of the cast and crew. She did do a stupid thing. She is trying to take responsibility for what she did and fortunately for her she has the financial resources to make that happen (unlike the vast majority of pregnant teens), but unfortunately she DOES NOT have the family support to really make this happen... her mother?! her sister?! hopefully the father's parents will be there and hopefully they have more of a clue. And the only way a 6 or 7 year old would know about it is if they are told or looking at things online unsupervised and at sites that aren't meant for young children. My kids have known how kids are made since they were 7 and they know HOW NOT TO make kids as well. And when they have questions they ask and I answer honestly. They aren't getting their info from other kids or from the internet, they are getting it from their parent.

I think that all of you are being very judgemental. I agree that canceling would be a stupid thing to do just because of a pregancy. Jamie did do a stupid thing, but mistakes happen all of the time and no one but her close friends and family know the entire story. There is nothing wrong with the example she sets on the show and the example she sets for kids. Of course pregancy is not a good example, but canceling her show is not a good way to handel it. Jamie has obviously had a harsh life concerning her sister and her mother and father and none of us can really know what kind of person she is. Actions don't make a person. Many people who are christian have made these mistakes and gotten pregnant before they were married. Jamie only gets judged because she is famous. Im not even a fan of hers, but seeing people act this way is unnerving

Realistically how may little kids are going to focus on whether or not JLS is pregnant while watching the show? Probably not many. The episodes have already been shot so there is no worry of a "pregnancy bump" showing. Nick should air the episodes regardless of what an actress does in her personal life. One person's personal life should not affect the job security for the other actors, writers, and support staff - like in the real world - just because an important employee gets pregnant you don't shut the business down.
