Smallville Star Is Looking for Heroes
In an impassioned effort to raise money for a 5-year-old boy who is dying of cancer, Smallville's Allison Mack and MonDonation.com invite people to make a 30-second YouTube video detailing their love for superheroes. For each vid submitted, fan group SaveClana.com is donating $10, and AllisonMackOnline.com is chipping in another fiver. What's in it for you besides, you know, a good mark from the man upstairs? The vid-maker who makes Mack smile the most gets a T-shirt autographed by her super cast mates. For more details — or just to donate directly to the cause — click here.

This is a great cause. Since I can't do the video, I donated monetarily and passed on the links.

It's a real inspiration to see people come together to help others and it's an awesome opportunity for us to get in on the act! I made sure to donate and commented and rated the video on YouTube and will be praying for Parker and his family. In a world of Hollywood starlets whose goal in life is to hit the hottest clubs and spend money til they drop on material objects, it's nice to see folks like Allison Mack and the cast of Smallville take an interest in people who need help and are willing to do what they can to reach out.

Allison Mack and Smallville cast are amazing people. I don't know a thing about making vids, but I'll be donating! So nice to see young actors/actresses in the news for doing wonderful things like this! My thoughts and prayers are with Parker and his family.

No child should ever have to suffer the horrors of cancer, but when they do it's nice to see that someone cares about their struggle. Allison Mack is a superhero for taking up this little boy's cause, and her fans are coming through with money, videos, and support. The Smallville fandom is often a conflicted one, but the good news is we can pull together when someone's in need.

I'm so glad that Allison Mack, Kristin Kreuk and their friends thought to do this for little Parker.
Reminds me a bit of Scrooge finding his heart at Christmas time to help Tiny Tim and his family in "A Christmas Carol."
Matt, thanks for spreading the word. I hope people hear about this and help. It's a perfect time of year to help a child in need.
