No Sir: Paul McCartney Snubs "Cheesy" Idol
Despite rumors of a possible season-finale drop-by and the abundance of Beatles tunes on display Wednesday night, Paul McCartney did not and perhaps will not ever grace the American Idol stage. The Fab fourth reportedly has a standing invitation to visit Idol, but his peeps "find the show cheesy," a source tells the New York Daily News, and feel "it's beneath him." But dressing up as a clown and having a seltzer fight with Jacko in "Say, Say, Say"? Not cheesy.

Just remember, Sir Paul is always right.
The man wrote, oh, I don't know half of the top 100 songs of all-time. I think he knows what he's talking about when he's talking about music. There's only about one living person on this planet who could possibly have the place to argue with him about music and that's obviously Bob Dylan (who, frankly, no one can really understand anymore anyway).

Well of course American Idol is cheezy. That's why we watch it!!! DUH.
But I have to say, it's pretty snobby to snub the show that is tributing your music. As big of a Beatles fan as I am, I have lost alot of respect for Paul McCartney over the years. He's becoming old and cranky.
John Lennon would have done, if he was still here. Green Day's cover of "Working Class Hero" was awesome!!!

I thought I was unique. You mean, there are other people who don't watch AI? I'm not the only one? And Sir Paul doesn't watch it, either? So I'm in stellar company!
AI has helped some talented folks find their way to success, but the show just never appealed to me.

Thank God someone like Paul has the good sense not to be on such an idiotic show. The fact that the American public eats it up like McDonalds Big Macs lets me know it is a sub par show for sure and the fact that Paul agress that it is too "cheesy" for him only solidfies that belief.
