Pilot News: Simpsons Execs to Sit Down, Shut Up
Former Simpsons executive producers Bill Oakley and Josh Weinstein are teaming up to take on the same roles on Fox's new animated comedy Sit Down, Shut Up.
The series, yet to receive a firm placement on the Fox schedule, is based on a live-action Australian sitcom about staffers at a dysfunctional high school. The U.S. version of the comedy will take place in a northeastern fishing town.
Also part of the show's DNA is Arrested Development creator Mitch Hurwitz, who wrote the show's first script. — J.R. Whalen
