Short Cuts: Another FNLathon, Betty and More!
Remember how I recently alerted you to NBC's triple-play of Friday Night Lights episodes? Well, Bravo is upping the ante with a 10-episode marathon, starting Saturday, Dec. 30, at 9 am/ET.... Remember how I recently alerted you to ABC Family's 11-hour Ugly Betty marathon (starting Sunday at 9 am/ET)? Well, if you really love Eric Mabius, be advised that SOAPnet will unspool its own, 10-hour Bettython starting New Year's morning at 10 am/ET.... George Takei, already booked to play Hiro's dad on Heroes, will guest-star on Disney Channel's That's So Raven spin-off, Cory in the House (premiering Jan. 12), playing the head steward on Air Force One.... The first batch of Golden Globes presenters includes Reese Witherspoon (hopefully in an unused dress), Salma Hayek (hopefully in a small dress), Felicity Huffman, Ben Stiller and Justin Timberlake.

Speaking of George Takei...
The other night, I came across a rerun of the William Shatner Roast on Comedy Central.
Not that I expected bingo night at the Knights of Columbus, but, OH MY GOD! It was just one horrific insult after another (and Comedy Central doesn't edit out the F-word late at night nowadays). I readily admit, though: I laughed a lot!
But the capper was George Takei! Apparently he observes Festivus, and this was his Airing of Grievances -- his parting comment to The Shat seems very pointed.
I don't know if this is available on YouTube or not, but it has to be seen to be believed.

Thanks for the heads-up, Chappy! As a Trek fan, I'm anxious to eventually see that. (As is, I just recently got around to viewing the Pam Anderson roast DVD "uninterrupetd," shall we say.)

I saw that one back when it aired!
That Lisa Lampanelli cracks me up -- but I feel guilty afterward.
On a side note, the Shatner roast also has quite a bit of interaction with Farrah Fawcett which, in light of her recent problems, made me cringe a little.
And it also features one of my all-time favorites -- Betty White! She is just amazing. I'm even watching The Bold and the Beautiful because of her!

I must be behind the times. What does the quip referring to Reese Witherspoon wearing an "unused dress" mean?
