Shia LaBeouf Kicks Adam Brody's Tail
While The O.C. grad's new release, In the Land of Women, opened with a whimper this weekend, taking in a paltry $4.9 million for an eighth-place finish, the artist formerly known as Even Stevens held onto the top spot at the box office, with Disturbia raking in another $13.5 mil. Meanwhile, Anthony Hopkins' latest Hannibal Lecter — I'm sorry, very different psycho killer — feature, Fracture, bowed at No. 2 with a haul of $11.2 mil. Rounding out the top five were Blades of Glory (in third place with $7.8 mil), the motel thriller Vacancy (in fourth with $7.6 mil) and Meet the Robinsons (in fifth with $7.1 mil).

Speaking of Adam Brody, I got a chance to see the film "Thank you for Smoking" this weekend. I have to say that after watching the promos for this film During The O.C. I was surprised to see that his part in the film amounted to less than five minutes.

I saw Disturbia this weekend; it was a really good movie. Shia LaBeouf is really dynamite. I can't wait to see what he will be like as an adult.
I hope he doesn't get the child star syndrome.
