Shark Shake-up Continues, and More Casting News!

James Woods in Shark by Robert Voets/CBS
Kevin Pollak, with whom James Woods shared the silver screen in Casino, is joining Shark in the recurring role of new Los Angeles District Attorney Lloyd Cutler. Another new face coming on board CBS' hit drama is Kevin Alejandro (you say Ugly Betty, I say Drive), playing a street-smart prosecutor who specializes in organized crime. Sounds like the "Sam Page replacement" Ausiello scooped a ways back, yes?

Also per the Reporter, ABC's Cavemen — namely, Cro-Mag Joel's younger brother — is getting a makeover. Sam Huntington (Superman Returns' Jimmy Olsen) is in as Andy, while Dash Mihok is out as Jamie. What's more, the pilot screened at the upfronts will not kick off the series in the fall. Instead, a new opener is being filmed, one which better (meaning at all) addresses the cavemen's existence in modern society. Small detail, that.

That Caveman show was a good idea but as I've said before the appeal was the original cavemen. Without them who cares? Checkout: http://www.cavemencrib.com That guy's not in it? (I think his name is Jeff Daniel Phillips). Then why bother?

That was my first reaction, too, but the new guys (the two they are keeping, that is) have their certain charms. Nick Kroll (as the alpha male of these alpha males) is a real scene stealer.

Speaking of Sam Page, did you catch him on the busted pilot that Showtime aired on Friday? No question why "Filthy Gorgeous" didn't get picked up (it's ten types of awful), but a big question why Showtime had to show it. Contractual obligation?

Crap. MY first reaction is that this must mean Santos really does bite the dust on Ugly Betty, unless they can have him work two shows at once, which is highly unlikely. Bummer, because it would have been interesting to see the new family dynamic with Santos's marriage to Hilda, and his dealing with his young son.

I actually liked Filthy on Showtime. Is it not going to be a regular show?

I think I'm going to become a serious Brothers and Sisters fan this fall.

No way this new guy is as cute as Sam. I'm sorry he has to leave Ugly Betty too. Two of my favorite shows, these are. And, they sure do cast a person in two major shows at the same time.

kevin alejandro is to shark, like wentworth miller is to prison break! ;) is there a possibility that wentworth could guest star on an episode of shark as danny's ol high school friend, (if prison break goes on another hiatus?) or could CBS move shark to monday nights?
