Secret's Out! CBS Gives Talent Show the Hook

Khan shman! See what hell George Takei: Country Crooner hath wrought? CBS has pulled the plug on Secret Talents of the Stars after just a singular Tuesday-night airing, where despite mesmerizing a few of us with the ways Sasha Cohen can contort herself, it drew fewer viewers than Jericho.

The resulting scheduling shuffle is as follows: 48 Hours Mystery fills the Tuesdays-at-10 slot for the next two weeks. After that, Shark will air in the slot, with repeats of The Unit airing Tuesdays at 9.

I was actually talking with a pal at CBS when this news broke, and she indicated that this would seem to be a positive sign for The Unit's future. Cross your fingers! — MWM

I'm devastated! How can they pull Secret Talents off the air! It became a staple in my household and a stalwart part of my viewing schedule! Is there nothing we can do to save the show? Perhaps some kind of campaign to keep it on the air!

Maybe if we all write to the network and say something like, "Please, CBS! I've been watching this show since the very first episode and it's not fair to make something a can't-miss habit and then yank out the rug from underneath our very feet!" I'm going to write that letter and I'm going to enclose a lanyard, because that's my secret talent. You wouldn't know it to look at me, but I can whip off a lanyard like nobody's business! I think if each one of us writes a letter (as exemplified above) and then enclose some hidden talent that each one of us has (don't send lanyards! Lanyards are my thing!), CBS will have to smarten up and give us the kind of quality programming we deserve...like Secret Talents Of The Stars!

Who's with me!!!?

Good move CBS no wonder why programs finish last constantly unless they have CSI in the title.

Jericho was a good show and the fans knew it and another reality show wasn't going to work but I guess it pays to be cheap.

Anyhoo, I'm with you! I can squirt water from between my two front teeth to a target 15 feet away. So, I'll send them those little clown flowers that squirt water when someone gets close to sniff it. :8}

Jericho's ratings may have been bad but part of that rest's with CBS and the way that it treated the program.

It aired on Tuesday's they took it off for six weeks bought it back on another night, complained it didn't get ratings, canceled it, got a whole bunch of peanuts sent to them, brought it back to air on Friday's for about a month and then moved it to Tuesday's.

How the heck is someone to supposed to follow all of that.

On top of that they said in the previews that the next program would be the season finale they made it the series finale instead and then to add insult to injury they had about 38 minutes of commercials in an hour show.

RachelScribbles, ;)
I'm glad I'm not going to have to keep up that pretense for the next couple of pages. I was ready to run with it, but at what cost to my soul!:^OBTW, I can't wait to see how you managed to get your secret talent into an envelope! :-p

It'll be a heck of a lot easier than it was to watch George Takei struggle through On The Road Again, that's for sure. ;\ No wait, that was me struggling to reach remote...

A repeat of The Unit is better than no Unit at all. I hope CBS doesn't pull a Jericho on its fans.
