Second Shot of Tequila Ordered by MTV

MTV has greenlit a second 10-episode season of A Shot at Love with Tila Tequila, to unspool in the spring and once again find the bisexual MySpace sexpot — who went stag this New Year's Eve and reportedly has not spoken to Season 1 "winner" Bobby since taping the reunion show — wooing and choosing from a new bevy of straight men and lesbians. Shot at Love's first season finale drew more than six million total viewers, making it MTV's most-watched series since November 2002.

As previously reported, MTV is also moving ahead with That's Amore, a Shot at Love spin-off revolving around the super-annoying Domenico.

What's your take? Should dating-show stars (such as Tila, Foofy-foofy, Bret Michaels) be afforded multiple chances to get busy on our dime? Since when did prime time become a Sig Ep kegger?

It just saddens me that MTV has degraded from a once groundbreaking music video channel to this - a desperate grab for ratings.

What happened to Bobby? At least with shows like The Bachelor they only get one chance. How many times will people watch the same person slut around with a bunch of shmoes that think they are "in love"?

I will admit I watched nearly the whole marathon this weekend, but it was totally like a train wreck you just had to see how it ended. Never again.

I didn't watch the show but heard she was "in love" with the "winner" (I assume that's Bobby). I guess it didn't last long. MTV VH1, etc. will keep doing shows like this as long as people are watching. So, let's all agree not to watch!

Am I the only one who thought that after watching the first season that someone should have been air dropping penicillin to these people to help with some of the infections that I'm sure were passed around?

Why is she getting a second shot? Didn't she find "someone" the first time around or have they broke up already?

What?? I thought she found her guy. Where's does one get the dish on what "went wrong" with the first true love she found?

MTV and VH1 are now the "Jerry Springer" Networks. Almost all trash all the time. It is really sad. Those "dating" shows are just disgusting. And now there are ads for "Celebrity Rehab". What has happened to our culture that we watch train wrecks and find it entertaining? ICK.

Never watched, but had time to kill over the holidays so caught some of the marathon recap. End of final episode she declared Bobby was her "true love". Then she hosts the New Years party and early on says "he dumped me!" Said he couldn't handle her schedule and travel. Used that as the leadin to announce a second season show. About as believable a story as what the politicians are spewing this election season. Personally, I think ol Bobby got used and thrown away like an old tissue.

Yes, I think that Tila should get another "shot at love". Though, I will admit that I fell for Tila's "search" for romance hook, line and sinker. I was also a huge Dani fan and just couldn't see how Tila could pass her up for Bobby. For me there was no competition. Thankfully I'll go into the 2nd "search", if I watch at all, with the attitude that it's a tv show and NO ONE who does these things are looking for luv - publicity, yes, love, no.

It amazes me why people watch such utter crap, but they do. Each so called reality show or as I've always called them Staged Television gets worse and worse. You can really tell that these are so staged. Especially after a winner is picked and then you read that they've broken up all of a sudden and a sequel is born so another so called contestant can win. I knew Tila Tequila wasn't fired by MTV. I doubt if she'll choose someone. MTV will prolly have her back for part 3.

If Paris Hilton can get famous from a sex tape, why can't Tila Tequila or New York be famous from making out with a large number of people on a reality dating show? We all know these gals aren't looking for love. They're looking to be famous as is anyone who signs up for a reality show. You want love you go out and meet people or join Match.com. All of these people, Dani and Bobby included, prob. knew going in that their showmances with Tila were for the camera and in the end, they'd be going their own ways. The smartest one in all of this was Dominico who stood out enough to get his own spin-off. That's what these shows are really about. People can call it trash tv all they want but in the end, I watch cause I wanna see how low people will go to be on television. Even if its all staged, these people do some crazy things to themselves and each other just to get more camera time.

And last I wanna comment on MTV being groundbreaking. Sure, it changed music forever but was it really for the better? It turned music away from being about the talent of the artist and more about the look and the marketability. Getting Spike Jonze to direct your video is more important than the quality of the song or whether you play your own instruments.
