Effective this week, Scrubs and 30 Rock are switching places on NBC's Thursday-night lineup to close out the season. Each series has three new episodes yet to air.

Scrubs moves to 8:30 pm/ET (following My Name Is Earl) while Liz Lemon and the gang at 30 Rock go to 9:30 pm/ET (after The Office). — J.R. Whalen

I can't quite put my finger on why, but this feels like a good idea. Scrubs never seemed to be a good fit before e.r., and its zaniness will work will in the Earl hour. The Office and 30 Rock are a bit more subtle and I think they will work well in the 9pm hour.

As Bugs Bunny would sai, "hey, it couldn't hoit".

Well, thank goodness, it means for me my eight o'clock hour is free to tape survivor, watch Ugly Betty and still get to see the Office and 30 Rock (

It just shows that NBC doesn't care about Scrubs anymore, but more importantly, that they DO care about 30 Rock by putting it in a better time slot... I'm really happy about this... :-D

Gord,

I can't believe you just referred to 30 Rock's humor as 'subtle'!:^O

:) BrandonL.

I said "a bit more subtle" than Earl and Scrubs. It's a matter of opinion. That's mine.

Will the move actually make either show funny or will they still be dull?

wildbill, how often will you have to make these same mundane comments before you realize that you are in a fan club of one?

I'd be really curious to know what constitutes "funny" in wildbill's book? Care to share what comedies on TV you enjoy and think are funny?

I'm halfway with you wildbill...I don't care for 30 Rock...but, Scrubs is still one of the best!!! Obviously, NBC is trying to do everything it can to promote 30 Rock with Scrubs on the way out and probably moving to ABC...30 Rock will still get trampled on by Grey's...

Kauf17, that's a great question. Wildbill, do you have the courage to come clean? What are your top ten comedies of all time? I've already compiled my list, but I don't want to steal your thunder. You certainly have your opinions on what's NOT funny. Please enlighten us on what we should be finding funny on TV.

Well currently among 1/2 hour network comedies I watch Earl, The Office, HIMYM and Samantha Who. I've been watching Back To You, but so far it lags behind those other 4, but it has a mostly good cast.

As I've said before I've given Scrubs and 30 Rock multiple (at least 5 or 6 each) chances and they just don't do it for me. 30 Rock has a good cast with Tina, Alec and Jane but it's just not funny very often. The last episode I tried was the MILF Island episode and while it was better then most ABC comedies, Samantha excluded, that's not saying much.
