Bring out the hankies: Scarlett Johansson is off the market. The sultry starlet is engaged to Ryan Reynolds, effectively breaking the hearts of many of her fans.

No details have yet emerged on how Reynolds, 31, popped the question to the 23-year-old actress (who can now add "singer" to her skill set). Rumors, though, are circulating that the two actually have been engaged for a little while and are only now making it known.

Will this be a storied, Hollywood romance "forever"? — Anna Dimond

Too funny Matt! The only problem is that you spelled out all the words and spelled everything correctly.

Aw, Matt...I am so sorry. I knew you'd be crushed by this news. On the bright side, your wife must be pleased. Also, isn't Ryan a "serial" engager? He just finished up an engagement to Alanis, right? I hope he doesn't hurt Scarlett!

They seem like an odd pairing...he seems so fun and she seems so....not.

I hope she spends the entire honeymoon discussing her political beliefs and other heady topics.

Nuts - first Men in Trees gets canceled, now this. Poor Matt...
now who's left in Hollywood for us guys to moon over?

And, I too agree with Buffy Freak.
If ONE good thing comes out of this, let it be Ryan Reynolds making ScarJo a funnier person, and ScarJo not making Ryan a more serious one!

Naturally, this will lead to another hit album by a pissed off Alanis Morissette.

I'm heartbroken. Ever since I saw Ryan in the show where he was a fat kid and then lost weight and became so svelt (can't remember the name of the show), I've loved him ever since. Not that I had a chance, but liked to know he was still single. But Scarlett is gorgeous, and he couldn't have gotten a more beautiful actress, nor she gotten a more attractive and handsome actor. Glad for them. Hope it lasts.

Why do they even bother getting married? It's 100% not going to last.

How have these two escaped the "couple" nickname? Can we call them ScaRy?

And I feel so bad for Matt. :_|
