Ryan Seacrest Moves Closer to World Domination

Just can't get enough of those blond highlights, those adorable dimples and comforting look when Idols get the boot? You're in luck.

Already the hardest-working man in showbiz (after Michael Ausiello, that is), the Reporter says that Ryan Seacrest has just inked a three-year deal with ClearChannel for his own three-hour syndicated radio show. In this latest step toward world domination, Seacrest's new venture will feature clips from his daily radio show on KIIS-FM, as well as original segments and playlist flexibility that allows local markets to plug in their own picks. The show will be distributed not just all over the States, but overseas as well.

The show, of which the tanned host will share ownership, should kick off in the spring. Now, the hours of the day that don't already enjoy airtime with AI, E! News, Keeping Up with the Kardashians, red-carpet coverage or the KIIS show will no longer have to be Seacrest-free. Starbucks, Energizer batteries and Red Bull, meanwhile, are rumored to be in talks to issue Seacrest-themed gift certificates, to launch concurrently with the new show (or at least they should be!). — Anna Dimond

Good grief. No matter where you turn, there he is. And, you're right, Anna. All those companies should recognize an icon of their respective companies when they see him. I feel inundated.

Meanwhile, Brian Dunkleman got a promotion from Milkshakes to Head Fry Boy at In & Out Burger.

I could understand Ryan's omnipresence if I believed he was really popular. But everything I read online is negative. None of my friends can stand him. Maybe it's like Barry Manilow in the '70s where nobody would actually admit to liking him? But at least Manilow (and other secret guilty pleasures) has some discernable talent. Does Seacrest? If so it escapes me.

It truly baffles me that he keeps showing up faster than Starbucks--I can't stand him, his "attitude", or his smug personality. And if he does have some hidden talent--please, anybody, point it out to me!

You know, while legions of Christians await the return of Jesus, you must bear in mind that there have been prophecies of the return of Lucifer, as well...and something tells me he will return in the form of a loaf of Wonder Bread dressed up as a metrosexual.

I'm not sayin', I'm just sayin'...

That picture positively frightens me. He's trying to do something to my mind..........

I agree, curluplw. If Orwell were alive today, he would have invented Ryan Seacrest.

You gotta hand it to him, though. He truly is the hardest working man in show business. Dick Clark is his role model and he was ubiquitous in his day.

You just know he's going to have children who have a sense of entitlement and pretty, but feeble-minded, grandchildren who wouldn't know a hard day's work if it smacked them in the face <cough, Paris Hilton>.

At least Conrad Hilton built hotels. What tangible contribution has RS made that Brian Dunkleman couldn't have made, if he had (cough) played his cards right.

O.K., I'll admit it. I like Ryan Seacrest. So does my hubby, actually. Ryan's got a good sense of humor, he's hard-working, and he's quick on his feet. I think he makes for a good host.
There. I said it. Let the insults fly. :-p

Not from me, findmebaby.com! I was starting to feel bad for ol' RyRy. Where are all of his supporters?. I respect you for coming forward and speaking up!

These blogs aren't nearly as much fun unless there are differing opinions.

Actually, if I don't have to see him, I like him better. His KiiS radio show in the mornings is pretty good....but watching his face all over the t.v ...not so much
