Rosie O'Donnell to Winfrey: Noprah!

OK, maybe the embattled ex-View-er is nuts after all. The New York Post says Oprah wanted to have her on her talk show — which makes best-sellers of books overnight, I needn't remind you — to discuss Celebrity Detox, O'Donnell's scathing new tell-all. And Rosie went all Amy Winehouse on her and said no, no, no! "Rosie has always been booked with Diane [Sawyer]," says her rep. "We gracefully declined Oprah's offer. I'm sure Rosie will do Oprah's show another time." After this, I kinda doubt it. Look how long she stayed mad at Letterman.

I like Oprah and all that but 'Hey'' - Diane got the first scoop. It's part of the business. If Oprah gets and stays mad about it she needs to step back and practice the love she talks about all the time. She puts her pants on in the same way the rest of us little people do so get over it!
Also, I am not defending O'Donnell. I personally don't like her and don't care to listen to her with anyone so that's not the issue.

The issue here is that celebrities are expected to go to "Oprah" first before any other talk show. I don't think Ms "O" will be too happy. :)

It sounds to me like Rosie was honoring a committment to Diane Sawyer. She didn't want to ditch Diane in order to please Oprah, which everyone seems fearful of doing. Rosie didn't say anything bad about Oprah, and she even said she'd go on her show another time, so why is everyone so upset? Isn't someone allowed to say no to Oprah?

I think Rosie was wise declining the invite. Oprah and Diane Sawyer have different interviewing styles and I think Oprah could be intimidating... even for someone as strong as Rosie. I could be wrong, but I think Rosie may be feeling vulnerable about now and Diane would be a more comfortable interviewer. Just a thought.

Again here's the media making a story out of the fact that Rosie is going to Diane first and she said no to Oprah. I don't think anyone of us has heard Oprah utter a comment and all of a sudden people are questioning whether someone is or isn't allowed to say no to Oprah. Or she puts her pants on one leg at a time just like the rest of us so she should get over it. Oprah & Rosie are friends. I'm sure she knows Rosie has her reasons for going to Diane. Feeding into the media madness AGAIN!!!!

I wish Rosie and all comments about her would just go away! I don't particularly want to hear her version of anything!

I'm sure Diane Sawyer had her agree to an exclusive interview agreement. And really, what is the big deal?

theatercatzI do believe you are right. I was just at Rosies site http://www.rosie.com/ and she has commented on the "news" about her and Ms. Winfrey. Things are raw right now, I for one don't blame her. It sounds like it was a difficult book for her to write.

Who says Oprah is mad? Its just Diane got the first scoop. Besides, Oprah's show won't suffer because of it. Her viewers probably feel like I do that Rosie is a vendictive person and because she can't have her way is everything she has to throw dirt. I use to think highly of Rosie when she had her own show and the way she did things for the kids especially. Now she just seems to be so unhappy. I wish her well and hopefully she will find some kind of peace and happiness in her life.

Rosie, Rosie, Rosie
It appears lately you're doing everything you can to alienate people.
Please change your attitude you don't need to change everything into a news making scorching item.
Good Luck!

Maybe because Diane Sawyer will be an alone interview where as Oprah is in front of a live audience and Rosie doesnt want to get all emotional and crack up in front of an audience. If she breaks down Diane can just stop tape and no one else will see it.
Reagrdless of how people feel about Rosie she by her own admissions has issues and last time she was on live TV she lost it, of course she had help.
Rosie probably doesn't want to have to defnd herself in front of an audience.
