Rob Lowe Is High on New Anti-stalking Drama
Rob Lowe by Ron Tom/ABC
Rob Lowe is deftly placing a producer's hat atop his perfect head of hair, teaming with writer Alison Cross (Commander in Chief) to create a procedural pilot for ABC. The project, says Variety, concerns the Los Angeles Police Department's anti-stalking unit, and represents the first offering out of Lowe's new production shingle.
Lowe tells the trade he originally conceived the idea more than a year ago and as a starring vehicle for himself. Now it will be fronted by someone else (Andrew McCarthy? Emilio Estevez?), seeing how his dance card is full as a Brothers & Sisters series regular.

OK, Matt, you wanted comments. How about this one ... I think Rob Lowe must be an alien. He's too pretty.
On a related note, Rob Lowe needs a prize for reinventing his career. Pretty amazing!

RL's B&S storyline will probably be altering/ending. I guess gorgeous hollywood types have insider experience/dramedy which definitely puts a bizarre & personal spin on a police procedural dealing w/stalkers all varieties. I'll be watching for the series.

Ditto to everyone's comments about Rob Lowe and I'd like to put in my two cents that it would be a dream come true to have Andrew McCarthy on TV regularly, so I hope he really is being considered for that role. I've had a huge crush on him since St. Elmo's Fire.

If done correctly - yes! It doesn't sound like a show that wuold use any of the cheesy DNA, crime-scene investigating crap that CBS is known for!
And for the record - wildbill said that Scarlett Johansonn wasn't attractive!

I know Rob Lowe is not acting in this series, but most people are so busy talking about his looks they don't even mention that he is a good actor. He was outstanding in West Wing - he and Martin Sheen were consistantly the best in the show. Lyons Den was excellent and I was furious when they took it off without giving it a chance especially since the ratings were not bad. Rob and Kyle Chandler were great together. Rob has been just the added touch that Brothers and Sisters needed to make it as good a show that it now is. I would love to see more interaction between him and Sally Fields - I think he does best when he is in scenes with great actors. He has a great speaking voice and he gives understated performances that compliment his fellow actors rather than attempt to overpower them. AGGEE

So glad to here about Rob's new show though he may not star in it. I really love him on Bros and Sis, was one of his big fans on West Wing and hated to see him leave it. Go Rob Go!

Yes I am thrilled that Rob Lowe is going to have a new show on tv , as long as he doesn't leave Bros & Sis . He is one of my favorite actors and I would watch him in anything, but he is wonderful on B & S , I agree that he has an understated presence about him , but he also looks like he is having the time of his life doing it, and that makes him great in everything he does , but the ladies are correct ... he is gorgeous ! Keep up the great work , can't wait for B & S to come back on...
