Reality Bites: Idol, Top Model Get It Wrong
Wednesday was a rough night for reality-TV junkies. First, for a rendition of "You Don't Have to Say You Love Me" that wouldn't even stir the dirt on Dusty Springfield's grave, American Idol viewers dissed and dismissed Stephanie Edwards rather than the increasingly unbearable (yet undeniably sweet) Sanjaya. Then, Tyra and Co. gave the Ugg boot to drop-dead gorgeous Felicia after she failed to enliven a shoot in which she portrayed a literal fashion victim. Do you think it's too late for me to start a hunger strike until she's brought back? I mean, I could stand to lose a few pounds anyway.
Next week on Idol, the contestants will be coached by an artist who they might actually have heard of (sorry, Lulu) Gwen Stefani. The Hollaback Girl will then perform "The Sweet Escape" with Akon during the results show. Personally, I would've done "Don't Speak" and dedicated it to moody Simon.

I cannot/do not want to see/hear Sanji sing a Gwen song.
Of course, the bad news now is that Sanji is in the top 10 and unless he commits a crime (well, besides butchering songs) he'll be on the AI tour.
I was surprised to see Felicia go too. So who do you think Tyra should have eliminated instead? Jael? That'd be my vote.

Are they going to sing Gwen Stefani songs? I doubt it--they don't always sing the songs of the coaches. Sometimes they're just coaching.

I think Tyra decided the girls have been getting along too well, so they eliminated two nice girls in a row to create more drama.

And how ironic before the elimination Felicia was dancing around, crowing about how great her picture was.
I actually like it when there's not a lot of drama. Biggest drama recently has been regarding phone use.

I cannot even fathom the reason that Jael is still there. Seriously, are they going to have subtitles for her commercials if she wins???????
