Ratings: Viva, ER!

This Thursday, as Fox's playoffs coverage averaged 11.6 million total viewers:

8 pm/ET
Survivor held steady with 13.93 million viewers, and Ugly Betty (9.62 mil) placed third with a 730,000 drop. Earl (7.26 mil) and 30 Rock (6.28 mil) slipped 500K and 330K, respectively. Smallville (5.06 mil) saw another 310 thou increase.

9 pm
CSI (20.8 mil) rebounded from last week's dip with a 1.1 mil surge, while Grey's (17.7 mil, down 950K), as usual, was No. 1 in demos. The Office (8.5 mil) dropped 400 thou. Supernatural (3.06 mil) was down 170K.

10 pm
ER came out on top this week with an audience of 10.01 mil, and was No. 1 in demos to boot. That's all thanks to the sneak peek at CBS' Viva Laughlin, which at 8.83 mil delivered only 65 percent of Without a Trace's usual viewership. (Oh, and Viva lost a good 25 percent of its audience as the hour danced on.) Big Shots mustered up 8.34 mil, a 900 thou drop.

hotpinkheels, you are correct there was a game last night, but you can't blame kauf17 for thinking there wasn't. The new playoff schedule is littered with extra off days this year, it's not the easiest thing to track on which days a game is actually played.

Sadly I watched Viva Laughlin, YUK!!!! Only watched about 20 mins. Had to switch over to Big Shots. Love that show!

iamjillian I love Big Shots too! I don't know why people trash it so much. I didn't bother with Viva Laughlin. Not my type of show although I love Hugh Jackman. Not that much though...

Viva Laughlin is an absolute train wreck.

This premise would have been a hard sell regardless of execution, but this show is so amateurishly staged, it defies explanation.

The "musical numbers" appear to have not been rehearsed or choreographed at all!

And, of course, since it's a CBS show, it has to have an obligatory murder mystery at the heart of its storyline.

My prediction: CSI: Branson will be gone by November sweeps.

Viva Laughlin is horrendous. I can't believe I spent 30 minutes of my life on something so bad. I give it 3 or 4 epsiodes before it's canceled (and that's being generous).

3-4 episodes? I predict this piece of crap will be gone after it bombs on Sunday and hurts Cold Case and Shark in the ratings.

Viva Laughlin was awful. I tuned out after the first half hour. Who were the 75% of viewers who actually kept watching?? Surely they just fell asleep in front of their tvs, right? Somebody get Eric Winter back on Brothers & Sisters asap!

After a promising season premiere, 30 Rock has lost viewers the past 2 consecutive weeks. I hope that does not bode poorly for them. It is such a funny show; even when it has an off week. I love Hugh Jackman KAD, I still contend he needs to make a guest appearance on Scrubs. Maybe he will if (when) Viva tanks.
