Thomas Dekker and Summer Glau in Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles by Richard Foreman/Fox
Monday's ratings highlights:

8 pm/ET
Dance War won the hour with 10.33 million total viewers, edging out Gladiators (10.15 mil, but an easy No. 1 in demos). Prison Break returned to 7.9 mil, a 700K increase from its last airing.

9 pm
Deal or No Deal dominated with 15 million viewers, and was tops in demos. Sarah Connor Chronicles (10.07 mil) shed 45 percent of its Sunday premiere audience, and in its first half-hour placed fourth (behind Deal and Dance War). But come 9:30, TSCC was No. 2, beating Rules and a new Underbelly.

10 pm
CSI: Miami (14.7 mil) surged 770K from its last fresh eppy, while Medium (9.5 mil) and October Road (4.9 mil) showed little movement.

I guess 8 million viewers did not say "I'll be back" :^O

But it did finish 2nd in the Demo. If thos ratings hold up the next few weeks, it's a lock to be renewed.

Plus it had a terrible lead-in.

How are this many people still watching Deal or No Deal? This isn't exactly sending a message that we want written programming back on the air.

When reality cr@p and lame shows lead the ratings it makes me think Judgement Day has already arrived, only instead of machines, the mindless idiots of the world have taken over.

Maybe we can send a T-1000 to 1992 to prevent Real World? - MWM

jtq1: You are exactly right! It seems that all the reality and game shows do very well against written shows. I personally can't stand reality shows.

I think it is the writers that should take notice of this. Why give them all this money if they can't compete?

I don't dislike reality shows but Deal Or No Deal is just inane garbage. I wonder if all those 15 million are doing their ironing at the same time...

I didn't mind Deal or No Deal at first, but then it became more about the contestants and less about the game show. Now it's just a bunch of crazy people who seem to be exaggerating their outrageous characteristics (like guests on Springer). I can't figure out if they're there to make the show more interesting or just annoy me to death.

Hey, the first installment of "Real World" was actually a great show. Thoughtful and insightful. Puck (Real World: Miami) was the problem and the start of it all. Send T-1000 after him.

To be fair, "Deal or No Deal" owes more to Regis Philbin's "Who Wants to be a Millionaire" and its success but don't you dare send a Terminator after Reg!

FOX shoulda had the guts to give the Terminator series a two hour block. The first hour was slow but the second hour picked up nicely. If they would've given it a nice push like that maybe people wouldn't have fled the second hour.

While I agree that certain writers should be ashamed of themselves
::cough, Caveman, Carpoolers, cough::
they still deserve to be paid fairly for their work in whatever form it airs.

When the T-1000 is finished with the Real World crew, can we send it on back to 1985 to polish off Run-DMC? And the Brothers Gibb circa 1975?
