Fox led again in Tuesday ratings, with another expanded Idol, among other hot eps. The numbers, from preliminary Nielsen figures:

On Fox, American Idol's 90-minute singathon with the top 10 guys enjoyed 28.4 million viewers from 8 pm to 9:30. Back to You, which piggybacked the ep, laughed up its season ratings high with 12.3 mil overall (with viewers 18-49).

On NBC, Biggest Loser was the next biggest winner on ratings after Fox from 8 pm to 10 pm, with 8.1 mil overall. Quarterlife, meanwhile, lagged with 3.9 mil overall for its broadcast premiere. The show moves to Sundays (9 pm) from now on.

CBS was up week-to-week with Big Brother at 9 pm (6.7 mil) and Jericho (6.9 mil). ABC trailed behind with According to Jim at 9 pm (4.6 mil), with a little boost from Primetime: What Would You Do? at 10, which 7.6 mil viewers tuned in for. The CW's One Tree Hill at 9 pm scored 3.2 mil overall. — Anna Dimond

Seeing the headline, I honestly could not remember what "Back to You" was about or who was in it...now if it had said, "Frazier's Back to You," I'd have gotten it right away! A pretty forgettable show (IMHO) which is a sad commentary for Kelsey.

Go Jericho! Maybe if the show can maintain 7-8 million viewers CBS will keep it, since it's got such a devoted following and Internet fanbase. We can hope!

I decided to check out Quarterlife and then checked right back out 5 mins later. Not surprised it didn't do well. I can't wait until my regular shows are back (and sad most of them won't be back until the fall :()

When Back to You, premiered in the fall, I enjoyed it. However, when the momentum of the writer's strike started, I forgot about it--too bad Fox didn't alert viewers that it was returning. I, accidently came upon it last night. I know when American Idol starts no other show exists for them--but come on! A little warning next time? I wonder sometimes, if the networks want shows to fail.

If I remember correctly, 6.9M is a fairly substantial jump week-to-week for Jericho, which makes me thrilled. I'd love to see it finish its final 4 episodes strong and get a chance to really expand on what it's trying to do this season.

The story is incredibly compelling this year, and I can only imagine how much better it would be if they had a full season to work with. They'd be able to expand on the emotional impact of a lot of what's happening and really make it a more fulfilling experience.

geez, I didn't even know Back To You Was Back On. With 24 and Prison Break gone for now and this week's Sunday night animated shows delayed or pre-empted my weekly Fox viewing was at zero so I missed whatever promos they might have run. Couldn't heaton or Grammar have made the talk show rounds to promote the show? Does this mean Republicans are lazy?
