Oprah Winfrey presents this Sunday's ratings snippet:

8 pm/ET
Extreme Makeover had a strong outing, delivering 14.78 million total viewers, a 2.3 mil jump from its last fresh episode. Big Brother (6.17 mil) gained 450K week-to-week. Everybody Hates Chris (1.45 mil) and Aliens in America (1.09 mil) returned from the strike to meager audiences.

9 pm
Oprah's Big Give improved on lead-in EM:HE by five percent, scoring 15.55 mil in its debut. (That said, its audience wilted some nine percent over its hourlong run.) Fox's Unhitched did 7.1 mil, retaining 92 percent of Family Guy's viewership. Hooray for monkey assault!

10 pm
ABC's Here Come the Newlyweds averaged 10.34 mil. Dexter, at 6.9 mil, saw a 430 thou week-to-week increase.

I tried to stick it out, but it turned into a big ol' yawn. (I tried that show after it, too, which was SOOOOO much worse.):-p

Oprah's Apprentice

Her show was WAY too much like Trump's "Apprentice" to be coincidental. Big egos must think alike. From the competitive pairs to the three overseers to the "board room" scene where one contestant was told to go home it was Apprentice all the way, though Oprah wasn't present during the "firing". What's that about ?!

Have to give her kudos on racial and gender diversity in the contestants, it was evenly split W/B and M/F. So, if you like "The Apprentice" then you should like "Big Give"; otherwise, if like me, you're tired of this reality format then you'll watch something else.
