Ratings: BCS Wins War; Zoey 101's Big "Goodbye"
A few ratings highlights from Monday night:
• Fox's coverage of the BCS showdown between OSU and LSU averaged 21.58 million total viewers, more than double the closest contender. Its draw in key demos was also off the charts.
• ABC's Dance War averaged about 11 mil over its two-hour premiere, besting NBC's American Gladiators (10.9 mil, down nine percent from its premiere) in the 8 o'clock hour.
• At 10, Medium (9.57 mil, up 140 thou from its previous season premiere) topped a CSI: Miami repeat to claim second place. With five mil, October Road was down 680K from its last fresh episode.
Also, Friday's season-ending episode of Zoey 101 was pregnant with 7.3 million viewers — more than double the Nickelodeon hit's average draw, says the New York Post. The final season of the Jamie Lynn Spears starrer unspools in February.

This whole "Strike Mentality" that we've all entered in to is still odd to me. A year ago people would have been talking about "how much longer October Road has" or saying "I wonder if it will make it to next week" but now its like every original hour of TV, no matter how bad it performs, is almost guaranteed a spot on the schedule.
If only the networks good be so generous when there wasn't a strike.
Though, on the down side it looks like the world will be subjected to an entire season of Celebrity Apprentice so I guess it isn't all candy and roses.

Here, here, ThomasC22! I love Medium, and I've been enjoying October Road. But it seems like if the numbers aren't immediately stellar, a show doesn't stand a chance!

I gotta agree about October Road. I only watch 3 minutes and it was one of the worst 3 minutes of my life. I don't know why the networks(mostly ABC) insist on keeping bad shows on the air, when they keep cancelling good shows. Im still upset about Knights of Prosperity.
Anyway, I am enjoying the new American Gladiators. The Wolf is my favorite.

Lizzybelle, i feel the exact opposite, i really hated knights of prosperity (very unusual that i hate a comedy) but really enjoy October road, especially season 2 which has had some nice episodes.
Anyway, looks like Jamie's pregnancy has at least been good for 1 thing.

Haha, these ratings are probably so inflated because people haven't seen any shows in a month and they say "OMG a new episode of something I don't ever watch!" .
