Quentin Tarantino Rejects Heroes' Welcome

According to the U.K.'s Sun, Pulp Fiction auteur Quentin Tarantino was invited to direct an episode of NBC's hit series but turned the show down cold. "I haven't even seen the f--king show," Mr. Crankypants is reported to have said. "What the f--k is Heroes?" Um, it's like CSI and ER (both of which QT has directed), only cooler.

Tuesday's Today's News was written by Ben Katner.

He also did an episode arc on Alias, as well as directed... So, what.... now he's too good for mainstream tv?

Or maybe he's sad that his failure of a double feature is already on dvd...

Heroes doesn't need him, anyway

Ah, the Sun. That bastion of impeccable, reliable journalism, for the same folks who used to refer to the Weekly World News as "the paper."

Maybe he wasn't trying to be a dick. Maybe he really has never heard of the show.

And I think Heroes DOES need someone like Quentin Tarantino to direct. Did you see the final fight with Sylar last season? Awful. It's obvious that no one on this show knows how to choreograph fights.

He makes me laugh. If he did say it - and I believe about a fourth of what I read any more - it's at least honest. I know lots of people engaged in living who don't know all the TV shows. Big deal.

I think he is kind of overrated anyway.
I was going to say that we don't need him either and then I was reminded (from MasterMoron!) of the HUGE disappointment at last season's end. !

I'm sure IF he said it, it was meant to be tongue-in-cheek. I'm sure some people in the world have never heard of the show but I doubt someone in the entertainment industry has never heard of it. Even if he said it and was serious, who cares? There are plenty of talented directors out there and he's not required to accept every offer he's given.

It the damn british consipiracy to stop all super powers from spreading across the pond!

I find it very hard to believe that Quentin does not know about Heroes. And if he could direct an episode of CSI (best episode to date of that show hands down) than he would have no problem directing an episode of Heroes!

The UK Sun? Why would anyone trust anything reported by that yellow rag? When they're not encouraging paparazzi to photograph celebrities in their bathrooms, they're completely fabricating so-called "news". Yeesh!

The fact if he said that or didn't say that is irrelevant right now, i like "Heroes" but let's stop fooling ourself into thinking that the show is too big for Mr. Tarantino 'cuz if there's something that show needs desperately is DIRECTION people !! and I good fight coordinator that's for sure, i repeat that i like the show but i can't be blind to the fact that some characters tend to be all over the place and it can get frustrating, and as for the fight, i won't use the excuse that NBC doesn't have the budget for big fights and CGI stuff, QT doesn't use none of that stuff and if you've seen "KILL BILL" you'll take a look at some of the most amazing fight scenes ever without big special effects...

So my point is that regardless of the truthfulness of QT's comments, "Heroes" could definitely benefit from his direction. I also second that comment of the CSI episode directed by him being hands down the best episode of that show because HELL YEAH ! it was.
