Ruben Santiago-Hudson, an Image Award nominee for his role in TV's Their Eyes Were Watching God, has joined ABC's drama pilot Castle, says the Reporter.

A "comedic procedural" about a mystery novelist (Firefly's Nathan Fillion) who helps the cops solve crimes, Castle finds Santiago-Hudson playing a police chief infuriated every step of the way as that dang mystery novelist sticks his nose in police business and solves crimes for them. — MWM

They at least need to have catchy piano music as the theme. And he needs to live in a quaint little fishing town in New England. And bake muffins.
And be Angela Lansbury.

I know that it probably won't be the same once the show starts, so I'm getting all the Murder, She Wrote jokes out of my system now.
